I took accounting at the Western Quebec Career Centre and I graduated towards the end of 2021. Although it was hard going back to school as a single mom especially during the pandemic, the staff and instructors went above and beyond to help me succeed and talked me out of giving up through my hard times. I am especially grateful for Ms. Curley, Bernadette and Adam who never gave up on me although I am not sure if they all still work there. I am now a financial aid officer at a private college in Ottawa and I just wanted to say thank you for helping me get here.
All courses offered help jump start students into their chosen career path, teachers are knowledgeable and caring. Best part tuition is basically free for quebec residents
As a former student who pursued the accounting program, it has been a wonderful experience. I can't give a review for other programs but I will say the Commerce program has been exceptional in many ways. Adam, Cameron, Bernadette were my teachers for the majority of the modules and I couldn't ask for a better trio to help me throughout this journey. They were extremely accommodating when we had to work from home due to COVID restrictions, and very helpful when we had questions in class. Highly recommend this school if you are planning on pursuing Secretarial or Accounting.nI'm sure the other programs are wonderful too :
This school changed my life. Not only professionally, but it helped me see myself in a new light. I felt valuable. The teachers helped me gain confidence in myself, my work ethics and so much more. The program I was in was secretarial administrative work I now have a full time job at CBSA. The teachers are invested in their work but mostly their students. They are there for you 150%. I would recommend anyone who wants to join any of their programs to just DO IT. Its a hidden gem. My experience at WQCC was fantastic! I was in Secretarial Studies and enjoyed the course content and developed many useful skills. I was well supported by the teachers and administrators. Everybody is so helpful and it feels like a community. I now work as as an Administrative Assistant in the Federal Government and that wouldn’t of been possible without WQCC. If you are considering a program in Commerce, I would highly recommend this Career Center!
