It's in a very bad state of neglect. Found broken&tipped over headstones. Found homeless sleeping there.also found soup cans, beer bottles,&drug needle's everywhere.the city of Portland should be ashamed of the state of it.complain to the city&hope they clean&fix it some.we need to save our history.

I'm not an irrational man. I'm just not. Okay? So don't bring it up. I just accept and agree with my contemporaries that when it comes to value, I have an indistinguishable knack for evaluating and suggesting improvements. Sometimes I raise my voice, but this is due to inner ear complications I can neither be accounted for, nor ever, ever apologize for. So, with the largest grain of salt, please understand where I'm coming from when I write that the service is absolutely terrible here. My wife arrived and waited an unholy twenty minutes to be greeted and seated, neither of which occured. I almost left in utter disgust at this flagrant neglect of customer's needs. Typically, I would have never stood for this, but my wife convinced me maybe they were just a little behind, it was rush hour. So we seated ourselves. Right off the bat, the decor of the place had me disgruntled, feeling old, dated. A mean, a little effort to spruce up the place would go a LONG way. Second, the atmosphere. Awful. The other customers kept their distance from us, and all seemed so sad. And I could tell why. It was chilly, the seats were downright unbearable, and had funny names in them. They kept staring over to us, and I'd reciprocate our mutual lack of satisfaction with an overdramatic shrug and gaze out for our clearly invisible waitstaff. I can't stand pretentious places like these where the servers are all "holier than thou." So that's when I started shouting, cussing, and generally drawing as much attention as necessary to myself just to get a SINGLE DAMN EMPANADA! ITS NOT HARD! ITS HOT MEAT BREADED AND FRIED. My wife made us leave. Needless to say, I'm never returning. Not even if I, you know, have to.

Neglected and sad, this place needs help before two hundred years of family and history are gone forever. Portland has no excuse for its condition.
