My daughter was transferred from an hour and 15 min away to this emergency room. They didn't run 1 test. We rang the bell and asked a question and we waited an hour and a half before we went to the desk to ask again. We waited a full 2 hours for an answer. The Dr that came in at 6 am said they were going to keep her for 24 hours to monitor her only to change his mind later. When I insisted they monitor her like the Dr said, then they did a ultrasound that was fine. Now she's home, still running the temp and they won't tell me anything when I call after they did squat when we were there.

This place is a shizzz show. My son was admitted for about five days and discharged last week. We never spoke with the attending doctor. And he has yet to return our phone call after our script insurance denied a medication he prescribed and needed to speak with him to resolve the situation. The place is short of staff and it is noticeable. The crazy is...they are expanding. We had one nurse who was extremely rude and her thing was making excuses why she couldn't do something. This place has long forgotten the Hippocratic oath or just the basic fact it was created to help people who are I'll. It reminded me a sucky NYC public school in the 80's and 90s...where no one cares about the patients or their loved ones. Will do whatever I can not to end up there ever again. Needs a whole new administration or shut it down cause right now it sucks.

My boyfriend was in a motorcycle accident late this past Sunday afternoon. He was airlifted to Westchester Medical. The intake department was very helpful and considerate of the situation we his family were in. Both of the nurses named Dawn were beyond amazing! If it wasn't for them and woman who helped discharge him, (I belive her name was Lisa) this unfortunate accident caused not by stupidly driving fast but simply poor roadways, could have left him and all of us in a much darker mood. Those women deserve an applause. The reason for the low star rating is for the following; 1.Cleanliness of facility - When he was waiting in the MRI machine for them to run his MRI he counted 24 spots of blood above his head from a previous patient. He brought it to their attention and they said they had cleaned it from the person before. (It's understandable they did have a lot of traumas that day from what I overheard but blood is a hazard and cleaning should be 100% all the time. 2. Before we were discharged he needed assitance getting to the bathroom. Now the staff was super accomodating to us and let us 6 go into the room with him as he was ready to leave, a nurse name Jenn was beyond rude to all of us for no reason. And her attitude to him after we all exited the room was also not pleasant from what he said. There is a way to speak to people who are in an environment that is not familiar to them and for a serious matter. I get that a hospital has regulations but if the family or patient are not rude to you than why should you give them attitude? If you are having a bad day don't take it out on the patient and their family. 3. This morning when we went to pick up his prescription for his antibiotics the doctor on call who called in his prescription called in his trauma name and all the wrong details. So we had to call them back and have the nicest nurse there Dawn get another doctor to get his proper name added to his prescription. Needless to say, the experience could have been a 5 star if everyone was just as friendly and considerate as the hard working nurses I mentioned above.

Today was the second time attending this clinic and I really liked it, everyone really kind and really professional and even the nurses or doctors in training were really good. I read some reviews saying that it's a teaching hospital I could somewhat agree with that but the doctors are still with you training the new generation of doctors or nurses. How could new doctors be doctors if they have no experience?

Worst hospital ever. I've worked with them as am EMT, I've been a patient of theirs in the ED, have friends who've worked and currently worked there.. all amazing and caring..... until they went corporate. I personally went there by ambulance for a complication from an earlier injury. Got ok care, not bad, not great. Month later, I get a bill for over $9,000 dollars. The hospital (corporate) bills, the doctor bills and the xray tech - all separate. The hospital billed my insurance company - with the wrong group numbers - so I get a notice. I call them, they assured once more I was good to go and would not have to worry about it. Fast forward to July of this year - I get a subpoena served to me by an attorney. I again, call and resubmit my information. They tell me to wait - two weeks later I'm on vacation and go to take out cash at the ATM. My balance? -$17,560!! This attorney put a freeze on my checking account because they hadn't received payment from my insurance! Called insurance - they say they have never received a claim from the hospital, but did from the doctor and x-rays. So, now, 2 years later, I have not a dime to my name, an attorney who is holding my money hostage since last week unless I pay them $567 a month until it's paid off. It's not about that this POS corporate run hospital is money hungry and does not care whether you're fighting with the insurance company or if they don't get pay fast enough... it's that they don't do their end of what is normal and submit claims on a timely manner or that they lie to you that they did.. disgusting and shame on them!!
