We vividly remember visiting this shop early last year awaiting the birth of our daughter, it’s all very exciting and overwhelming at the same time, trying to get everything ready for the arrival of our little one. When got to this shop we found the staff to be very kind helpful knowledgeable and friendly, in fact lady in particular, her name is Sophie impressed us with her kindness and calming attitude, she made it very easy for us to understand what we needed and why, so consequently in the months leading up to the birth we made several return trips and always made sure that we saw our trusted assistant and friend Sophie. We are so happy and thankful for all her wise words and product knowledge that she gave us, I would recommend this shop to anyone and make sure that they see our friend.
Great place to find all the stuff you need for baby / toddler. Only thing is that the Richmond location is not very stroller friendly, and the parking lot have very limited spots and it can get very chaotic. Hit and miss services for sure. I’ve spoken to really helpful and nice staff in the back where the strollers / car seat is located and have experience very rude cashier in the front as well. Pricing seems to be pretty competitive with other baby stores.
I am a first time mom expecting in July and was overwhelmed by what I needed to buy. I met Auntie Joyce and she was amazing! She provided me with an in-depth guideline on what I needed to buy. She didn’t push me to buy anything on the spot. She was very honest, caring and helpful. I highly recommend Auntie Joyce!!
The manager at the Richmond location went above and beyond for us. We had reserved a crib and drove from Port Moody to pick up the crib. Unfortunately the store had a power outage and could not process our order. The manager was kind and accommodating and suggested we checked out online and selected curb side pick up. I also appreciate her warehouse team for locating our crib and mattress is the dark! Thanks for your outstanding service!
This place is not wheelchair/stroller friendly, as there is not ramp leading up to the entrance. Even if you manage to get in, the store is divided by flights of stairs. While the store is beautifully laid out, the overall shopping experience can be frustrating. Most not all of the sales associates weren't too eager to explain the different products/brands. I'm talking about big purchases like car seats, strollers, and bouncers. Lastly, the prices seem to be higher than competing stores.
Me and my husband were there to shop for our first newborn. I was very nervous until I met Sophia or Sophie?. She's super patience and knowledgeable. We bought what we needed, and we will be back for sure!
The lady Joyce in Westcoast kids really knows her stuff. We were here to buy stroller and she gave us all the information we need. She also follow up with us during the time and suggest which product would be good buy useful gadget for baby. She also go above and beyond to look at the situation from our perspective and keep us up to date if there’s any on sale information. I felt really comfortable with the sales because, unlike other sales, I don’t feel pushy and she’s not trying to updating us with products. Highly recommend and I had a great experience with Joyce. Other than that, price in westcoastkids is a bit expansive. Probably come by when there’s promotion going on to save a few bucks
What's the point of having a listed phone number if you're never going to pick up? Been trying to connect with someone for days and even left a voicemail days ago without a response back. Had to call customer service in order to ensure my husband will be able to pick up our order without issues. Upon arrival today, again, nobody answered the contactless pick up number. Had to wait in lineup for 40mins to simply request for our order. Only the sales person in the stroller section was very helpful and knowledgeable when we visited a few weeks back.
West Coast Kids is THE place to get all your baby’s things. We find they have all the popular brands and the sales associates are great with recommendations. Azima at the Richmond location helped us out the last time we were there and we really appreciate it!
Unfortunately this company does NOT care about the well being and satisfaction of their customers. We bought an adapter for our City Select Lux that was not compatible with our stroller. We went to return with the original packing and receipt and were turned away without any reimbursement or refund. Unfortunately we will be ensuring the public stays away from this store. If "West Coast Kids" would like to resolve this issue we may reconsider our decision.
