They do fish and chips and not really anything else. But we had the halibut and it was freaking amazing! It's a lil hole in the wall dive, but the people are friendly and the food is great. Really, aren't those the important bits anyway?
Stopped here for the outdoor seating so I could eat lunch with my dog. Good fish and chips, had the halibut. They filled up Chewy's dish with ice, which he loved. I'll come back again some day. I came back 2 years later and still just as good!
They make the absolutely hands down best halibit fish and chips on the island. The portions were generous. The halibut fresh not frozen, dry and tasty. They served the most delightful coleslaw with just a hint of lemom kick to the dressing. No grease on the serving containers either. If you are like me and sneeze with factory prepared batter mixes have no fear there was no preservatives used in their batter. My only regret is I did not find this seafood gem earlier but it definately make eating under their covered picnic tables a treat when you are passing through Mill Bay.
The fish is fantastic. We each had haddock. But the fries we didnt enjoy at all. Too thick and cumbersome. They didn't taste fresh at all. It was like they sat for a long time after they were fried. I'll make my own fries next time. Slaw was boring. I had to doctor it up when we got home. Next time I'll only order the fish.
Huge pieces of Cod! Reasonable pricing. Friendly staff. Would reccomend and go again! Yam fries were the best I've had!!
Good fish *and* good chips : and the cider is basically dessert ;Food: 5/5
Menu has changed… favorites disappeared! Bought some fish last weekend everyone got sick overcooked and sliced so thin hardly any fish! Cooked in old oil we used to love the place hopefully they can bring back what people came there for
Outdoor seating, inside welcoming friendly team served up a generous portion of cod and chips, coleslaw, tartar sauce and lemon wedges. Looking forward to next time!!
Nice local business with fresh seafood. Fast and great service.Food: 5/5
We have an affection for locally owned businesses, with that said, we've been coming here for 3yrs for mostly take-out and have not found a more fresh tasting fish and chips place around. My wife is very English and knows freshness in her fish and chips when she tastes it!!!
