The nature trail is nice but some lite maintenance is needed. Some of the information placks are missing, maybe just for the off season. View of the lake, islands and surrounding mountains is breathtaking.

I hesitate to recommend this gem of a Park - as we'd love to keep it just for ourselves. It is an ideal location on a beautiful lake, a perfect escape for family or small group, and the facilities are well planned and cared for.

Beautiful, but services at this time of year are zero, and they still expect you to pay an entrance fee. Bathrooms and changing rooms padlocked. Only 3 portable toilets. Old tires on the beach.
A bonus day of warmth in November made it a perfect day to walk the trails there and enjoy the lake views.
Wellington State Park has 2 small islands that are available for children's organizations to use for over night outings. These islands are only accessible by a short canoe ride but well worth it. On the far side of the larger island is a high cliff overlooking the lake and an incredible place for star gazing late at night.
