Family run local business that we have gone to and supported for 20+ years.. Unfortunately as fonthill keeps growing their supply of beautiful cherries runs out fast.. But they have the most beautiful taste and the uniqueness of their soli and aged trees cannot be found in any other farm
The cherry farm is huge and beautiful. Cherry is variable and super fresh. Staff are friendly and nice. Price is affordable. Highly recommend to visit!
Medium sized farm. Very friendly staff.. was great that it stayed open until 8 unlike others that stay open until 5, which I don't understand as cherry season was short. Best to call in advance and ask how how ripe the cherries are. Usually weekend after Canada day is good. Enjoyed very much ! Great for the whole family.
Excellent place and wonderful staff. Clean washroom. Lots of parking. A class Sweet cherries. Trees were loaded with fruit. I will prefer this place over others I have visited in past.
Some info since there is no website. Entrance fee $7 is included in the basket fee. Basket per person - cheapest at $15/3L basket. Cash only. And they're only open a few weeks at the beginning of cherry season for PYO experience so they'll be closed soon! Also saw a super cute dog. Overall had a great experience.
Best cherries. Farm and staff are excellent. They provide ladders for picking the cherries. Kids had great time. Washroom facility available, accept cash only. I would highly recommend this farm..
Nice people, good cherries, fair prices. Yes it is $7 just to enter and eat all the cherries you want. And I think that might be the best option unless you have something planned that you will do with all that you have picked. If you do take cherries home then I would recommend that you bring along some scissors to snip the stem in half to pick the cherry. If you just pick the cherry without the stem then it can go bad quickly. There are different kinds of cherry trees so it is fun to try them and compare. There are ladders on site too to help you get up to the cherries that would otherwise be out of reach. There is not much room for parking so get there early or you will need to be patient with the wait. Went on Canada Day 2018, a super sunny and hot day and enjoyed the experience.
This is a wonderful farm that offers pick-your-own sweet cherries. They have limited pre-picked available while quantities last. The cherry season is very short in Ontario lasting only 2-3 weeks so they usually open the last week of June. You should always call ahead before visiting to ensure that they have crop available. Mother Nature ultimately controls the quality and length of season.
The best cherry farm around! Lots of trees, friendly owner. We’ve been going for years!
Best Cherry Plucking Experience I ever had. I went with my mom. We plucked 9L cherries, supper sweet and dark red. I highly recommend
