Friendly bartender. Bonus hole and several other video poker games. They have an ATM. They have touch tunes juke box. Prices I felt were high compared to nearby establishments. $7.75 for an macrobrew bottle and one soda.
Stopped in for breakfast with our infant child. We were the only customers at the time. Friendly owner was the only person there when we arrived; she took our orders and cooked the food. Towards the end when our son was no longer content just watching us eat and not share, the owner offered to hold him so I could eat in peace. Very pleased with our visit. $25 for two skillets and two coffees. Kid-friendliness: Has high chairs, but no changing tables Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp to get in the building.
Went there yesterday because of some reviews. They were spot on.... I had some wings with fries and my wife had a chicken cordon blue sandwich and fries. We also had an order of onion rings for an appetizer. They were all delicious and I would highly recommend!
Not impressed at all. Fish fry prices are high and not all you can eat. Fried fish was not crispy, it was sitting in grease on the plate. Wasn't the worst thing in the world but there are better places in this area that are cheaper. Also, the seating area needed a good cleaning. Dust covers the molding right obove the table, about 5" from table top.
Stopped in for lunch. I was hungry too. Place had about10 people inside. Not really busy. All down on the far end of the bar. Bartender served me a beer and immediately walked away to chat it up with his local customers before I could request a menu. I finished my beer, still sitting waiting to request a menu. Finally he walked about 10 feet away from me, still engaged in conversation with his regulars, and I asked how much I owe for the beer. I laid down the money and walked out. If I want to be ignored, I would get a cat.
We stopped in for a beer and a meal on a Wednesday night. Honestly we had never been here as we always go to the same places every year. The owners were bartending and cooking. A local lady recommended a couple things. We had the chicken tenders. There were 4 beautifully seasoned and breaded huge pieces that were real chicken breast, they were juicy and cooked perfectly. We also had a burger that was big and juicy and cooked perfectly. The lettuce, tomato and onion were fresh and the bun very tasty. We had the seasoned fries that were crispy and you could tell the fryer oil was fresh. The bathrooms were very clean as well as the bar and restaurant. It was a slower night and not alot of people. We had great conversation with the owners. We highly recommend stopping by and it was the best bar food we had in the 3 weeks we've been up here. Keep doing what you are doing!
I wish bars would keep their politics private. The Confederate Flag is poor taste for a family bar.
The bartender was super nice and he suggested me a burger to try and it was absolutely delicious. Best I've ever had. It could be something to do with the fact that I had a 4-Hour bike ride and I was crazy starving when I got there.
When I came to eat here I was horrified and disgusted to see a confederate flag hanging in the restaurant, which says “If the South would have won, we would’ve had it made”. This blatant support of slavery and oppression of Black folks and shows that they are not welcome here. The flag needs to be removed and amends need to be made. When my friend called to ask that they take it down, the staff member was rude and nasty to her.
I went in with two other people around 9:30pm. I could tell the bartender, Sandy was drunk when I walked in. I think that is unprofessional. Dont mix business with pleasure. She was very welcoming and greeted us. I am not a drinker so I requested for a water, but Sandy seemed to dismiss my request and was more attentive towards the other two I came with, who purchased alcohol. My sister had request for two different kinds of seltzers that were sitting out for advertisement and Sandy didn't seem to realize she was out of the first two kinds of seltzer's. It was annoying to see Sandy picking through every can to figure out if she had the ones requested. A business owner should be aware of their own inventory, therefore denying any requests can effectively be made with customers instead of searching far and wide to find out something hasn't been restocked. I will not be returning with this first impression made. Rick was helpful with figuring out where the fishing spots were, otherwise and would prob be the only reason you'd be okay with visiting this bar.
