It was alright. Some of the statues did not look like the people in my opinion. The Terry Fox statue was missing. It needs updating and maintenance. Many of the lights were not working. The buttons in front of the statues that are supposed to work..did not... I felt it was overpriced.
In all honesty this place is pretty low rent . By far the best figures are in the lobby. At best inside they look like maniquins with bad hair. If anything its a one time and never go back in kind of place. Just so you can say you went. Save your money.
Was through with my buddy recently overall very enjoyable experience. it was my first time going through and I found a lot of the wax sculptures very cool. some were so lifelike it was kind of uncanny while others were less so but I'd say most are probably above 90% accuracy. some of the best looking ones in my opinion are Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, and Bill Clinton. as you could imagine there was a bit of a laugh when we spotted him. definitely something more geared towards teenagers and adults considering its mostly pop culture based. that being said there are definitely a lot of things that would be cool for all ages like the star trek props for example. some lights were out but I would chalk that up to being used an unholy amount of times all summer long. definitely try and go when it's not to busy so you can take your time and read all the info to go with the figures.
It was my first time visiting a wax figure museum so I enjoyed my experience. But the figures are very dated but it was a fun time!
Nice staff .different things to see . It was great
No! Do not spend money here. What a waste of time. The whole thing took us, maybe, 25 mins tops, none looked real, celebrities were outdated, boring. Spend your money somewhere else.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Very dated. Our kids 10 and 12 only recognized a few of the celebrities. I went before years ago and nothing has really changed much. A lot of the figures are behind ropes so you can't pose for selfies with majority of them except for the ones in the lobby. Also many were not very well maintained, missing lashes, dirty wigs etc. It goes by fast so it's too much money for the amount of time that you're entertained. I was excited to take the kids but we all ended up disappointed. I'm embarrassed for this place but i guess they depend on tourists that don't know better and will shell out the money on a rainy day in Cavendish. Could be so much better if they updated it with new figures because if you were born after 1985 you won't recognize 80% of the figures.
Accurate replicates of several well known characters and historical figures. Some more accurate than others but still do. Well presented and lit and you can take pictures near them! Also in the Cavendish neighborhood surrounded by several other attractions. Not to be missed if you're in PEI!
Had an amazing time my children loved going through power went out a few times well we were inside and it was conpletely black but that isn't really they're fault. Fun place to visit if you are on the island!
A little pricey like Ripley's next door but you get a far better deal if you bundle the two together. This is a great way to kill a rainy afternoon in Cavendish. Much like my review on Ripley's Believe It or Not next door, the content here doesn't change very often so you can put years between visits. I did find that a few of the exhibits were poorly maintained this time through. Give it a try if you've never been before but if you have, there's no need to go back.
