Been dealing with two ongoing claims for a bit of time now, and it's been ridiculous. First claim was an incident where my girlfriend was killed in a tragic car accident driving my car to work, in which they've been delaying everything and maintaining some of the worst communication ever regarding the claim which has been causing me tremendous stress. First, they changed my adjuster and department handling my claim several times without my knowledge, and left me sending emails and leaving voicemails into the void with no response for weeks at a time. Despite the accident occuring in September 2022, they only waited till today, near the end of January, to contact me with an offer that was embarrassingly low and when I got heated and informed them that I'd be disputing the claim, the woman on the phone basically told me off and hung up on me! In the beginning of December my other car was involved in a no-fault accident and was appraised much more fair at current market value despite being the exact same make, model, and colour. With the second claim once again it's been more of the same. Poor communication, loads of unnecessary paperwork, and loads of delays leaving me without compensation money for almost two months now and no word of rental coverage STILL to this moment. This company has no problem taking your money but when they need to give you money owed they make the process as difficult as possible when you're dealing with greif and already stressed as it is. Sometimes cheaper premiums are not worth the headache, especially when it almost feels intentional. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
Honestly, they have stressed me out. It's been ridiculous from the start. They took money out of my account for someone elses insurancebasically committing financial fraud and this was on my first payment. My actual payment went through the next day which meant i now had paid them over and above the amount i owed them. I have had a hell of a time trying to get that payment back. I left a message for a manager to call me. They told me they would call last friday...they did not. When i called they told me 24 to 48 hours, which again was ridiculous, as they had stolen from me...it should have been taken care of that day. I STILL HAVE NOT SPOKEN TO A MANAGER. I'm still waiting...its been 8 days. If I'm being honest i would not advise anyone to go with this company..you don't want to go through the same streess I've been dealing with for over a week now. Do not advise.
It was a very bad experience, I tried to get insurance here but they spelled my name wrong many times and I finally gave up and they sent me the bill. Totally ridiculous.
Been a client for 20 years. No one has beat their premiums yet!
Filed for two claims in 3 years, one 50/50 and one 100/0, 0 from my part. Got a phone call saying they don’t want to renew my contract. Been a customer for 10 years and always had a clean record. Don’t bother with Wawanesa, you deserve better.
I have recently claimed online on the weekend. On Monday, my file responsible called me. She listened to me carefully and processed my claim by giving good advice. In around ten days, the garage repaired my car. So, it desires a five-star rating.
This could be the worst insurance company. Claims take forever, cancelled my policy because I was involved in a non faulty accident, 2x in 3 years Where is the logic ? Someone hit you from behind and you are suppose to avoid them ?
Absolutely terrible company. I was on a student visa and needed insurance for my truck licensed in Quebec. They had no problem with that, but after a year they sent a message that they were going to cancel me because I didn't have a Quebec drivers license. I am permitted, by law, to maintain my driver's license from my country for the duration of my visa. We called and asked if we got a Quebec drivers license if they would keep us. They said as long as it was by the cancellation date it would be fine. I can only go on the weekends because of school and work. I managed to get it with two weeks remaining. I called up the company and they said it takes A MONTH for a renewal. Strange how I can get insurance with them in 5 minutes but somehow it takes a month to renew. I had no accidents and no tickets in the past 20 years. Seems like that is a driver they would want. Guess they aren't happy with perfect driving records. Good riddance you bunch of crooks. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
