This is a fantastic facility, especially considering it is free and open to the public. There are 50, 100, and 200 yard rifle lanes with multiple covered benches and a covered 50 foot Pistol lane. There are berms between the lanes which is a great safety addition. No range officer, so you do need to be aware of other shooters, though I’ve rarely dealt with others shooting the same distance as me when I’m there. For the most part the grounds are well kept and clean, it depends on how closely those there before you followed the clearly posted rules. If you are going to take advantage of this public range, plan to pick up after yourself and don’t leave your old targets and brass laying around.
Great place to target practice just make sure you clean up after yourself so the state will keep it open enjoy
It is a nice range. Nice to have out to 200 yards and also short for pistol.
Excellent outdoor range! Awesome berms and all the distances you need to have fun and sight in your rifles. Small amount of trash in the form of folks leaving their targets and not policing their brass.
It's a nice place to shoot but it's becoming very messy and seems nobody picks up after themselves. Which is clearly posted on the rule boards posted on most of the ranges that you must pick up and take with you all trash including targets and shell casings. I picked up almost a 5 gallon pail full of just steel casings on just the 50 foot and 50 yard ranges today. There was also a lot of shotgun shells which is clearly stated on the signs are not allowed.
I love this range, it is very well kept and usually not terribly busy. Everyone I have ever seen there is kind and patient. They have steel stands at the lanes with OSB to staple your targets to. So bring a stapler! Also, please donate if you go. This range is one of the best outdoor ranges in the area and well maintained.
A great public range. Variety of distances, covered concrete pads with wood shooting benches. Can get wet after it rains, holds water, it's a shooting range, it has berms. Everyone I have had the experience to meet there has always been friendly, courteous, and most importantly safe.
This range is probably the best range I have ever shot at. I would recommend this place to anyone even new or seasoned shooters. Edit: I do want people to know that this range is not supervised by a range officer and it is based on trusting others the lay their weapons down so you can hang a target
Very nice range, we always have a great time up there. My two sons and I drive up from Milwaukee two or three times a year, so we spend all day there.
The range has more than adequate facilities and seems to be pretty well kept up. Some of the wood that you attach your target to needs to be replaced. If you use the range, please donate and pick up your brass
