Absolutely horrendous behaviour by the owner in Wholesale Club in Barrie. He made an absolute spectacle of himself for everyone up in the cash area to enjoy. The poor customer service guy who had to deal with him handled him like a pro. No one in customer service should have to deal with that kind of outburst and abuse. It was completely unwarranted and there many witnesses there who would attest to to that. If I were management at Wholesale Club in Barrie, I would bar him from the store.
Well this makes me sad to say and I am sorry to the previous owners because they were awesome people and I have been going to this place for over thirty years and no more after what I experienced this time. The first night I stayed was on thanks giving Friday I decided to stay where I felt safe my new place is not ready tell later this week now I went other places during the day but slept here in the evening being that is what Truck stops are for today is Tuesday and I had an OPP officer come tell me they did not want me there anymore I had to leave. Now they lied saying I had been there for 2 weeks to the officer which they later lied to my face when I confronted them before I left. My service dog and myself had to drive to another Truck stop to sleep for the night. The overnight staff are friendly and kind but the owners should not be in this business treating people like this I spent money in their store and purchased food from them and then was tossed out well I am well known in the area and they are not just loosing my business but their's as well. Just to say I am at a new Truck stop made sure to ask before hand and their comment was you are welcome this is what we are for if I need anything just ask so shower time and some rest.
Best place to stop between Barrie and parry sound. One of the only for trucks too. Facilities are always clean and staff is always friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is super nice and well managed. Glad to see a classic truck stop resturaunt still surviving and still offering home style meals. 9/10 overall. Definitely recommend it for any truckers/travellers needing fuel/bite to eat
Food was great. Portions were a good size.
Coffee was watered down. Like they used half the proper amount of grinds. Bathrooms were clean. Decent selection of snacks.
