Had dinner here on a Friday, there were a few dine in customers but the place was being overwhelmed by take away and pickup orders that our food took some considerable time to arrive. The Pho was ok but was not piping hot when served, the salad rolls were good as-well as the dipping sauce, crab cream cheese wanton is similar to what you typically find in other places that serve them, the Bahn mi was disappointing and I would not order it again here, for good Bahn Mi in this area, go over to Grand Donuts they also have good Pho also our order of Pad Thai got mixed up and we received some Chow Mein instead. We were seated in a table that was very cold because every time the door opens a blast of cold air hits us, it was so bad that I started wearing my jacket. The food here is ok and reasonably priced, thats why there are a lot of take out customers and skip but maybe because of this they are focused on churning out food and not able to maintain their usual quality.
The food here is quite tasty. Serving staff are okay, but need to check on all the people in their table section a bit more frequently.
We got a variety of food, as we normally do when we try a new spot. Not shown are the rice salad wraps with peanut sauce, which were generously sized and held up the next day. Photos include : Dill pickle spears Mac and cheese bites Vegetarian pad thai - Spicy but not overly Tofu and eggplant - semi sweet, nicely cooked tofu Curry tofu - nice amount of veggies and tofu Side of rice came with the meal. Overall we loved the food, including the american fair. The spice level was great for our palettes and the portions were large enough that we had food for a few days. Our favorite was the eggplant dish.
I have never had anything bad or any mistakes from this place. I don’t know how to eat this thing but I just ripped the noodles in half and poured the sauce and veggies on top and they softened up after 10 minutes or so. It was fun, messy and delicious. #44 I’ve had their deluxe vermicelli bowl 100 times and it’s to die for.
Already excited to go back! We split the pork and shrimp salad rolls, and thought these were excellent. The 4 salad rolls are approximately 500 grams of food and are enough for a meal on their own. I got the beef pad Thai and this was 1000g of food, more than enough for 2 people. My partner got the house special vermicelli which had chicken, grilled shrimp, charbroiled pork and a pork patty, and included yummy spring rolls. She missed having fresh basil leaves, but loved it otherwise. Amazing value for the amount of food and the flavour.
Me and my acquaintances came here to enjoy some exquisite and succulent nourishment. We enjoyed a variety of delectable delicacies. The staff were as scrumdidiliedumptious as the food. They even accommodated my paw patrol themed toilet booster seat in their cleanly rest room facilities! 69/10 would indulge again! Vegetarian options: Yes Kid-friendliness: Kid menu Parking: There are many spots infront Wheelchair accessibility: Staff can accommodate
Such a wonderful off the path gem. Fabulous food, the kindest and most friendly staff. The portion price to the serving size is also incredible. Lots of food for little money Love it! Vegetarian options: Very friendly and accommodating menu. Nearly everything it seems has 4 variations of the base dish offering: beef, seafood, vegetarian, and some vegan I believe Parking: Lots of parking right out front, and additional street parking near by Wheelchair accessibility: *Not an expert* answering primarily for beta software testing I can say it is all ground floor, now step ups or downs. Entry is at grade. Entryway appears wide and clear with plenty of space to manoeuvre.
Unfortunately I dont get the hype. I've been here a few times now and tried a few different things. Maybe I'm not ordering the dishes others find amazing, but I wouldnt recommend this restaurant, nor will I return. The vegetarian salad rolls were generously portioned with delicious sauce, but filled mostly with rice noodles and lettuce. They were the best of everything I've tried. The chicken-based dishes feature really tough chicken - almost like it is pre-cooked and then reheated. The sauces I've tried were all very sweet - i understand thats a feature of some Vietnamese dishes, but these were sweeter than others I've had in the past. Maybe their soups are their best dishes, but with all the great options in this city I'll probably pass on trying them.
Picked up a #14 Chicken Noodle Soup with Vegetable and #75 Pork Banh Mi Sub for lunch. Hand Sanitizer right there as soon as you walk in. The restaurant seemed impeccably clean. I arrived a little bit early but my order was piping hot and ready. The man I interacted with was very polite and friendly. The Banh Mi was very tasty but the bun seemed a little too big for the contents. There could have been a little more veggies and there was no cilantro which I think makes this sandwich but the dressing and the pork were both very tasty and flavourful. The soup was excellent. Plenty of chicken and vegetables, which consisted of broccoli and carrot that were both tender crisp to perfection. I have never seen a more clear broth in a chicken soup, and it was bursting with chickeny goodness. The soup was garnished with scallions, cilantro and some french fried onions which added a nice accent to the soup. The only thing that I would change is to add some condiments like hot sauce, salt and pepper or oyster or fish sauce so the takeaway customer can season the dish to their liking. Otherwise, very good food. I am looking forward to dining in when Covid calms down.
This is a real hidden gem in East Kildonan. Dined in with my family. Bubble tea was delicious, food was so flavorful. Family friendly and great service. Can't wait to go again and try another item off the menu.
