Ok so let me begin by saying my dad and i had a wonderful time at Waterfalls lodge. The owner was always very attentive to our needs, and very respectful. They had bait on site which was amazing. Also the boats and cottages are both functional and clean. Fishing was also good, and we did fairly well considering it was out first time. The shore lunch was awesome, despite being cold with a nasty wind that afternoon. I would go again no doubt, and look forward to it. Thank you, Raul Jr and Raul Sr.
The camp is first rate, owners and staff were great. Our cottages were very clean and well equipped. Rental boat ran great. Our only disappointment was a less than productive fishing experience. A great place for family and friends.
Been going here annually with a few exceptions for over 25 years, through several owners. We have stayed in the cabins and camped in the beautiful campsites over the years. This was the first year we were disappointed new owners for the 2022 season. The service at the dining lodge has gone way downhill. Grouchy servers, no free refills on coffee, favourite items removed from menu. Tbh we can camp or stay and fish lots of other places for the price, but the dining lodge and cheerful, friendly service was what drew us back year after year. Might be time to start looking at other options.
Great stay here at Waterfalls Lodge. Hosts are very hospitable and considerate. Cabins are clean and well equipped. Grounds are very well kept. Nothing but good things to say about our stay here.
Very nice owners and staff. They are friendly and courteous. They have alot to offer the patrons at a reasonable price. I can't say all the attractions to keep busy and enjoy, only because I was staying there due to a work project near by. I do know that the facilities are exceptionally well kept and sanitized.
We went up for a few days, and stayed in two cabins big family. They were both very clean and we'll maintained. The boats where also very well maintained. I definitely can't wait to be back. Cell phone reception isn't great but there are a few spots in the area where you can get reception. It was very nice to be disconnected for a few days. Fishing was excellent, there There is very little light pollution so bring a telescope, I don't think I have ever seen so many stars. I definitely recommend, and again can't stress enough how much I want to return.
3 of us recently enjoyed a wonderful extended long weekend with Rob and Kathy. Everything was so easy and accommodating. The fishing was great and the food equally delicious. Having our own cottage/ dock right on the waters edge was quality touch to this place. We will be return guests!
Waterfalls Lodge is a fishing/hunting vacation spot that I had located online in the early spring. It was very appealing in many ways. On the way home from a Southern Ontario to Vancouver Island road trip we stopped in to view the Lodge in person. It was mid-September and a beautiful day but the natural beauty of this location would shine through even if it wasn't. Rob and Kathy have outdone themselves in providing a full-service fishing resort for just about anyone who enjoys such a place. My 5 stars are simply for the presentation their property makes on its own! I will be booking a week next year and then the rest of the details will follow. I expect my review will be 5+ then!!
This place exceeded my expectations in every way. 2 weeks in August and 9 days in September. Did evening meals, American plan and housekeeping only. Never left the dining room hungry. The cabins are very clean and the appliances look almost new including the barbecue. The boats are fantastic. I shopped around before booking and price wise for what you get this place is a super deal. It is a big property and the waterfalls is a site to see. I had the privilege of viewing it at different water levels from gushing to a trickle it was great. The lakes are easy to navigate and not so big that you cannot find a spot to fish in rough weather. Everyone there is pleasant and helpful trying to make your stay a good one.. I did OK with the fishing Including one trophy bass garnering me a ticket for a chance at a free week next year. Bonus. I could go on and on. The scenery is beautiful and wildlife abounds. beavers, river otters, Bald eagles and other raptors. Snapping turtles one so big I wouldn't have thought it possible. Amazing. Water temperature was 75F so I was Swimming every day. Beach toys Hydra bikes canoes and kayaks all available for free anytime. You cannot go wrong at this place. Enjoy
My family has been coming here for 15+ years! It is a family friendly lodge, but just as amazing for trips with friends or even a romantic get away! Be prepared to let go of your cell phones and technology as this is a place you reconnect with nature and people. Cabins are functioning and have space heaters for the chilly times, Fans for the hotter times. They're not the most glamorous, but that is besides the point. The staff are very accommodating for just about anything and always surprised us with getting us what we needed before we could ask. An awesome boat with gas to boot was included with our stay and we couldn't wait to explore the many intricate lakes this beautiful lodge sits on. Amazing place to fish, relax, go swimming, have camp fires and just get away. The food here is solid and we were more than happy with every single meal! This place is doing things right, so if you can let go of the frills, this is the place to be.
