What a fascinating museum. We learned a lot about Independence. Definitely worth a visit. Admission is free with an area to donate. Some days there are volunteers who can provide additional information or hands on activities for kids which is really fun. You can try the various stages of grinding flour.

call before you go. We got there during posted hours but found it to be closed. hard to rate something you couldn't see except from the outside.

So beautiful! Full of history. Learned that Independence has a underground! How cool! Very nice woman running it. Plus it's free! They take donations which we were happy to give. They're also raising for Captain Lee's mansion. Kids loved it ranging ages from 12 to 18 months.
