Wami Ootoya is a brand new Japanese fusion restaurant located in Brentwood Village Shopping Centre, only a few minutes' walk away from the University of Calgary.

Our spacious restaurant offers the best of Japanese cuisine in a modern and comfortable atmosphere. Our chefs use only the freshest ingredients each day to bring you a wide variety of Japanese food, offering traditional sushis and rolls, innovative gastropub fusion dishes and ramen bowls entirely made from scratch, in-house. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty food. Could not go wrong with a choice like this!
Good atmosphere, reasonable pricing, and very friendly staff. We only sampled some of the appetizers, but they were quite good. We will definately come back again to explore more of the menu.
The interior is very nice and the presentation of the food is good but the food is bellow adequate. The ramen noodles seem to just be regular pasta noodles. I ordered the curry ramen and tonkotsu and I can confidently say they were the worse of all the Japanese noodle places in the city.
Always such a joy going here, probably my favorite ramen place in town. Right price and soooo delicious.
Everything they serve is “pretty good”, but not outstanding. It’s a good place for a casual outing to get your Japanese cuisine fix. The staffs are always friendly. They open late. The orders are always fast.
Had the tonkotsu ramen today and it was really really good. Some ramen places have broth that is kind of greasy but this had a clean taste even though it was full of flavor and almost creamy. Good amount of char siu. Would order again.
I come to dine often and the Aburi Salmon oshizushi rolls are simply amazing. Also my children always enjoy having the Katsu FingersPork. Staff is always firendly.
This place wowed us. Service was on point, super friendly and quick. Food was priced well, fish is fresh and not to mention, quick! We got our order literally within less than 10 minutes of ordering. Would definitely be back and would highly recommend!
