Summer its filled with tourist and the service industry employees for all the hotels/resorts in Mackinaw area. The outdoor center closed a while back so no joy there. Shelves where half empty today of their own brand. Sporting goods has its moments but generally finding help in any department is a chore and then I am constantly harassed by some manager type trying to force the use o the "self check out". Rarely is getting out with your stuff remotely just easy. They seem to have an absolute never open enough registers to satisfactorily end your shopping experience. I get a sinking feeling knowing its the only BIG store in town. Mostly the northern people are exceedingly friendly by this quality is lost when you walk thru the doors here.

It was okay...typical Wal Mart store. Unique people walking around. Choices of food, toys, etc seemed less than back home.

What can one say? It's a Wal-Mart. Pretty clean and the people are nice, but essentially the same as any other (which is pretty much the point with chain stores).

Super hot in there. Went to buy bike. It had a blemished fender so I asked about a discount. No but he would bring another one. Took 30 minutes and that one had a huge paint chip in the back fender and bad hand brake. Went and got the first one. Friend needed my receipt to get it out the door. Fine I followed with my cart. Needed receipt again for the patio rugs... that was now with my friend out in the parking lot with the bike. Grrr. Not a happy experience
