Today I visited Walmart on Brock Road, Pickering to pick up a few items, one being Scottie’s Tissues. The package that contains 18 boxes were not on the shelves and I thought they were probably out of stock. I bent down and looked at the bottom shelf and saw they were two packages all the way at the very back off the bottom shelf. At that moment I saw a Walmart Employee coming up the aisle and asked her if she could assist with retrieving the two packages of Tissues for me. She laughed and said that if she tried to get those boxes she would not be able to get up and that her back was no good.nI told her then that it’s self help and I would get my friend who’s 75 years much older than the Walmart employee to do so for me and that I would be taking the photos and submitting them on Walmart’s website reviews. She walked away at that point without a care or concern.
My first-ever Walmart visit happened right here in Ajax, Canada, and not in the US—who would’ve thought? As a Filipino visiting this massive store, I was blown away by the variety of products. It felt like stepping into a shopper’s paradise!nnOf course, my mission was clear: find Hot Rods for my only child—the one thing he specifically asked for. I was thrilled to finally spot them since Walmart is the only store here that carries them. Unfortunately, their stock was limited, so I couldn’t hoard as many as I wanted. Still, mission partially accomplished!nnBeyond Hot Rods, I couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer range of items Walmart offers. The festive cookies and pastries on display screamed holiday vibes, while the deli and ready-to-eat sections offered so many tempting options. And let’s not forget the endless chip and snack aisles—they’re a junk food lover’s dream! I could’ve spent hours just walking around and exploring.nnOverall, it was a fun first visit, and I’ll definitely be back. Fingers crossed they restock on Hot Rods by then!
I am a regular visitor to this store since past 5 years. I had worst experience ever in the last week. I lost my receipt and asked them to retrieve from their system which they did not want to do. They simply claimed they cannot do anything. But the surprising part is the other store was able to pull the receipt of this store.nnThere was a guy named SANDEEP who is claimed to CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER is an arrogant, impatient and too much attitude came over to me and said he cannot do anything with the situation. He denied to provide any help related to this issue and was so arrogant on me. At any given point he was not even ready to help.nnBut the other person named JOSH was so helpful and obedient and helped me to get out of this situation.nnIt was totally a nightmare at this store. I never experienced this in the past five years.
I went to return passport photos that were rejected by the passport office due to poor lighting, and I had the rejection letter with me. I then went to Customer Support at the front to get a refund. I didn’t have my receipt, and they insisted that I should have it. I explained that I paid by credit card and asked them to look it up in their system, but they said they couldn’t.nnI’ve seen Walmart advertise “No receipt? No problem,” and that purchases made by credit card can be tracked. I had to convince them to actually provide the customer support they are supposed to offer. One older lady was especially rude and kept interrupting the conversation; I had to tell her I wasn’t speaking to her and to let the other employee assist me. When I asked to speak to a manager, they finally began processing the refund.nnMy only suggestion to the Walmart team is to please place courteous, helpful staff at the front desk who are willing to assist customers.
Always great service no matter what time of the day. Line ups go by fast. Great service at the grocery pickup. Kobi is always very kind and efficient at each grocery pickup.
