I ordered chicken seek kabob21$ and dal with tomato16$. Kabob was very dry, little to no salt, mildly flavored. The price is outrageous and the portion was very, very small. See the picture. Tomato dal was flavorful, very thick okay with me absolutely no salt. Again overly priced. Other restaurants charge about 15$ for the kabobs and 9$ for the dal. Portion was small again. The rice that came with the dal was dry and crunchy and under cooked. Really, do you have an Indian chef or someone who doesn’t know how to cook? The price is ridiculous and the portion size is very small. Not worth it all. Also, are you catering to people with cardiac problems where salt needs to be avoided? Food had no salt at all. Staff are courteous and professional. This is only the good thing about this restaurant. Please don’t waste buying the kabobs. I may not go again but again, Walla Walla has only this Indian restaurant. Might try another dish.
Walked in off the street with no foreknowledge of the place. Had lamb saag, naan, and masala tea. The saag sauce was rich and creamy, and per the specific suggestion of the server, was exactly the right level of spiciness. Our server did not catch her name unfortunately, it wasn’t on the receipt was excellent: friendly, polite and attentive. The atmosphere was low-key: some Indian music in the background but low enough volume you could comfortably have a conversation, cricket on the TV. The booths had walls around 3 sides fabulous for keeping your kids from bugging other diners ;. I’d recommend this place to anyone who likes Indian food. Shaanadaar dinar ke lie bahut-bahut dhanyavaad!
Absolutely delicious! I especially love the samosas. The butter chicken is fantastic, the Ghobi Manchurian sweet & sour cauliflower is delicious, although I have to get it extra mild as it does pack a kick. The garlic naan is also amazing. Definitely recommend!
Absolutely Delicious. Butter chicken and shrimp biriyani was very tasty! Would definitely recommend this place. We’ve had a lot of Indian food all over the world and I was pleasantly surprised at the great quality. Great service too.
Food was amazing. Quite a lot of variety. We had several different tastes at the table and those who ordered mild thought it was a touch spicy and those who ordered spicy thought it was mild but the food was delicious. Drinks were full of ice and stingy but ok. Service was awesome and the place was clean, pleasant, no wait for seating and the decor was interesting. Vegetarian options: Plenty of great vegetarian options. Parking: Parking downtown is terrible. Dietary restrictions: One of our group was vegan and one was gluten free and it was easy to find choices that were delicious.
The food was excellent...but the service was NOT. We waited almost 15 minutes to have our order taken and there was only one other group in the restaurant. After we received our food no one ever came back to check on us or to refill the $3 ice teas...or water. Again, the food was very good but we won't be back for the poor service.
I gave this restaurant a 4 star review mostly based on the cleanliness and service, as my thoughts on Indian food need more tastings. I do like the butter chicken and the mango smoothies. If the spices were toned down that give it the heat, I would probably have a better idea of what dishes I like.Food: 3/5
My wife and I asked for recommendations of a variety of dishes that weren't too spicy. They made recommendations for one shrimp and one chicken. I apologize I can't remember the name of either because we didn't actually pick them off the menu, they did. We also got a sampler platter of the vegetarian hors d'oeuvres. Everything was absolutely fantastic, including the service and the conversation with the owner at the end of our lunch. Highly recommended. Sorry that I can't recommend a specific dish, but the three things that we ate, I ordered them all again, to go as we were leaving. Ate too fast to take a photo. I will do so on our next trip back. We absolutely will be back.
highly recommend this authentic Indian restaurant right on E Main in downtown Walla. I recommend the garlic naan with any dish you order. fabulous wait staff and a wonderful ambiance. great food and fantastic flavour. everything came out hot.
Food and place are exceptional. The place is very clean and we felt comfortably distant in the booth. However, the service is disappointing. We had a waiter just leave while taking our order and then a younger gentleman took over with terrible attitude and didn't even acknowledge the fact that the lady left us lol. I defenitely recommend this place and hope you don't receive the same service we did! Everything we ordered was phenomenal, butter chicken, curry lamb and lamb samosa.
