Just gorgeous, definitely something that the area was lacking. It improved the whole town. Great views, excellent exercise opportunity, and even going for a romantic stroll over the Hudson. Highly recommend taking the whole trail around and over the Mid-Hudson Bridge and back up on this side of the river.
It was a spontaneous visit for me and my wife. So great... loved the walk. The view was pretty. If you appreciate history and hiking you will love it. I must return to visit the towns and have a weekend getaway.
Very nice...good job NY Parks! From below it looks rusty and crusty, but the top of the bridge and the facilities including the bathrooms are nice, new and clean. Snack carts/ trucks and picnic tables across from the Poughkeepsie side make for a nice break halfway through your walk or ride.
Nice place to stop by and take some nice air. Restroom is clea. There are lot if parking spots
This is a great place to run, walk, or bike. The bridge is well paved, and it is a part of the Empire State Trail, so you can go for as long as you want and not run out of path. It also has nice bathroom facilities.
