Story

WALK IT OFF Spinal Cord Wellness Centre Inc is a Not-For-Profit organization (Ontario, 80185364 RC0001) that provides exercise-based recovery, education and support to those living with spinal cord injuries (SCI) and neurological dysfunction.

We provide a unique SCI recovery method of conditioning the entire body: The focus is on stimulating the paralyzed areas of the body through core strengthening and repetitive, load bearing exercise. Our program assists clients in maintaining muscle mass and bone density to provide the physical foundation to compliment other therapy programs and to coincide with future medical advances.

Mission

We aim to improve quality of life and increase independence by maximizing recovery for those who have sustained a spinal cord injury.

Products

One-on-one training with a Project Walk Certified SCI Trainer (recomended 2-3 hour sessions).

Our program encompasses cardio with repetitive load bearing, nerve stimulating exercise incorporating a whole body technique developed in California. Our goal is to promote health, wellness and recovery for incomplete and complete Spinal Cord Injuries alike.
