So yummy! Finally found some Thai food in this town. Every dish we've had has been amazing! Thom yum and the other soup are both delicious! Best crab wontons I've ever had and the veggie egg rolls were perfect. The mild spice level works for me but not my kiddos so much but they like the appetizers.
We got the sesame chicken, tofu nuggets, and the yellow curry with basil. Some of the best food we’ve had in Mankato. Happy for the new ownership and that Mankato now has a great Thai option!
Food was amazing! Great selection of Thai food. We got the House Special Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken, Pad Thai, and Sea of Fusion. Can’t go wrong with any of these dishes they were delicious!! Customer service was excellent! Lady in the front is super sweet!!
I used to work here and heard they reopened so I stopped by. I was surprised to see new ownership and I love how fresh and spacious Wakai’s feels again. The food is amazing and I can’t wait to try them all. The customer service is amazing! The owners are very friendly and I would love to come back here again!! Although they don’t have what the old Wakai’s had I hope people give them a try.
I heard this place had new management and was skeptical on how good it would be, but I have to say I am impressed! Even though menu is different…the food is amazing! And very welcoming service…definitely will be back to try all the other items!
The food here has been great in the past, but our most recent order was... Disappointing. The orange chicken pictured was kinda flavorless and dry and soggy, like it was cooked hours before actually being served. The broccoli in it looked over-steamed, faded-green and mushy. The pot stickers pictured had evidence of freezer-burn, and we asked for regular and spicy sauce with it and only got regular. The Spring Rolls were served with some... partly-filled cup of unidentified orange sauce pictured instead of the regular peanut sauce it's supposed to come with. When I got home with the take out, I realized the server forgot to give us the pot stickers, so I returned to pick them up and ask for a cup of the regular peanut sauce that's supposed to come with the Spring Rolls. When I got home after picking them up, I realized he also never gave us the steamed rice that comes with the orange chicken... This place has been fine in the past, so I don't know if they changed management again recently or what's up with the sudden drop in quality, but needless to say we're disappointed this time... If you order take out from here, double triple check you have all your food before you leave.
My chicken Pad Thai noodles was very good while the chicken-shrimp Fresh Rolls with peanut sauce was above average. The peanut sauce was too sweet and roll could do with some Basil in it. But the portions were good and not very expensive, so it balanced out in the end. I took my sister to this restaurant when I was looking around for something new to try. We tried several dishes off the menu and my sister looked at me and said “This is the best Asian food I have ever had!” and I agreed. The seasonings in each dish hit all sorts of tastebuds. I’ve been back 4 or 5 times since and will continue to recommend your food ! It’s been amazing every time. Thank you
Great food when you can get it. But, I went a week ago and the doors were locked at lunchtime on a Wednesday. I tried again a few days later the front door was open and I found two guys inside waiting for food that they ordered online. The lights were off and menu board shutdown nobody was in the store. This was during lunch time rush when hours again stated the business was open. I brought my family on Dec 26th and doors were locked and just went to Weggy’s not sure I will visit again.
Says they're OPEN but the place is dark and no one is around. This is the second AND LAST time we'll be back to try them. You know you can change your hours if you want. Right?
