"Wagner Accounting & Tax Service, was founded by David Wagner in 1973 to provide Accounting and Tax Preparation services for the Tri-State area. For many years, this family firm operated at the corner of University and Irving streets in Dubuque, Iowa. Wagner Accounting & Tax Service relocated to its present Dubuque location on Century Drive in 1985. In 1987, Wagner Accounting & Tax Service, expanded to a second office in Maquoketa, Iowa. Thomas Wagner joined the firm in 1997 to continue the tradition of service to the greater Dubuque and Maquoketa areas. The firm incorporated into Wagner Accounting & Tax Service, Inc. in 2004."

DO NOT RECOMMEND filing here. I had Marisa file my simple taxes. It’s been a year and I have yet to get my refund. She doesn’t return any calls or emails. I then got audited and she wouldn’t help me with that either. So if you want your taxes done right, don’t go here. She won’t respond to you & will waste your time and money. *Also with the response from Wagner below, you’re now offering to help after you have seen my review but failed to help me over the entire year when I have reached out. I called when I got audited, you had me drop my audit off… I stated many times it had a deadline to be returned and you all assured me you’d get back to me soon to help. I called weekly for over a month and was told Marisa would call me back. Here we are MONTHS later, still no retuned phone call or even email. Please don’t have your customers waste time brining paperwork to you, just for you to do absolutely nothing with it and leave us hanging. I had to complete everything on my own. Not to mention I was audited for errors made when my return was filed. I stand by my statement that I highly recommend finding elsewhere to get your taxes done*

Wagner has done our personal taxes for years. Each year we receive a pre-tax mailing let us know what is the latest tax information. Our personal taxes are done in a timely and professional manner, along with information on how to handle/ maintain for the current year. When we decided to open up our own Small Business, it was a no brainier to have Wagner included in our journey of starting our LLC, Tom and his staff guided us thru the accounting / tax process. They are always helpful when I call or email and respond in a timely manner. I highly recommend Tom and his staff for not just doing your personal or business taxes, but also for handling payroll. They do ours, and it is so worth it. I can use my time to work on my craft rather than deal with stressing on paying my employees and dealing with the tax part of it.
Wagner accounting has been helping with my taxes for many years. Tom has guided me through the creation of several businesses, the home buying process, and overall best practices for managing multiple income streams including 1099 and w2’s. Without Tom, my wife and I would be completely lost as we’ve achieved financial milestones working for ourselves. Very few professionals will take the time to educate a client as they perform their services, the knowledge gained from this relationship has benefited me every day in my business dealings. You could not be in better hands for both your personal and corporate tax needs!
HIghly recommend One Stop Tax Service. Very knowledgable staff. One Stop does our personal taxes, our business taxes and our weekly business payroll. I've never gone anywhare else.
