Story

This one of a kind visitor information centre was built to look like a landed space station. and is home to a large collection of Star Trek Memorabilia, the Galaxy Souvenir Gift Shop, and of course: tourist information from around the county and the province.

Open Year Round, the unique Vulcan Tourism & Trek Station is designed to look like a landing spacecraft. As you enter the building, the stars and nebula of the “Trek Station’s” floor to ceiling space murals will have you feeling that you have stepped into outer space.

You will be greeted by the Trek Station’s Captain and friendly crew members who are on hand to answer all of your questions about Vulcan’s fictitious association with Star Trek’s Mr. Spock.

Had a great visit to the Vulcan Star Trek Museum! The displays were really well done, and the collection of Star Trek memorabilia was impressive. Kids got a kick out of it—although a few of the costumed mannequins were a little too realistic and definitely freaked them out .nnWe picked up a town map and had fun exploring all the Star Trek-themed displays and attractions around Vulcan. It made for a fun little afternoon road trip from Calgary. Definitely worth a stop for Star Trek fans or anyone looking for a unique roadside attraction!
Nice place, friendly staff. Smaller than I thought but worth looking around even if you aren’t into Star Trek like me. Some good photo opportunities inside & out & nice town to have some lunch in.
Second visit to Vulcan and of course all the good things are still here. This time the visitor center was open and I expect to drop in later over the summer but couldn't arrange it this visit.nnThe whole town of course is a little Star Trek crazy and it is fun to visit.nnWorth a visit if in Southern Alberta.
Its cute and nerdy. Small place lots of star trek stuff to look at. Souvenier shop had a bunch of trek gift ideas. Theres a holodeck thing for pictures that wasnt working when we went.
Such a lovely place with wonderful people! The staff welcomed us with the famous Vulcan salute, which immediately made us smile and made the visit even more memorable. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. If you're driving through Vulcan, definitely stop by—it's free to visit and well worth it. You'll find interesting exhibits, great photo opportunities, and a warm atmosphere. We really enjoyed our visit and are glad we decided to stop!
