I suggest you don't waste your time and energy with this company. The price was perfect but the issues trying to get internet with them was unbelievable. I had 3 technicians come to my apartment and after two weeks of no internet I finally had enough and canceled my plan. What a pure waste of time. Unfortunately I would never recommend this company to anyone.
Wifi is really shotty, randomly disconnects all the time and I have to reset my box. I just made a cancelation request as I'm changing providers, and spent 10 minutes on the phone trying to tell their service agent please no I don't want any prices you are offering me, just cancel and she kept offering me things I would say no to. I get it, you're trying to keep customers, but the first 3 offers I declined should have been a telltale sign to stop offering. Just annoying in the end.
I got a fright when I saw my bill was doubling next month. I rang and realised I was on a 6 month discounted rate. I explained I’m not in a position to pay the double rate and would most likely have to cancel my account. The lovely lady I spoke to very kindly offered me a 20% discount for the next 3 months so I can sort out my financial situation. She was very nice and patient.
They're cheap and that's fine while things are working, but they don't have access to the network they sell you, so they cannot troubleshoot or fix any issues... so when things go down, expect to spend hours collecting evidence for them so they can log a ticket with the actual network... and prepare to be without Internet for days or weeks when that happens which is every couple of months. They literally cannot see, let alone fix, issues on the network. The technical support from Vmedia is incredibly bad. I'm moving to another internet provider.
The horrible reviews you see here are all true. We switched to Vmedia because Rogers just keeps raising their rates and are far too expensive, but Vmedia provides the absolute worst quality internet and tv service imaginable. One of our TV's only connects half the time, the other freezes often or jumps to a test pattern or home screen for no reason. The internet is nowhere close to the speed we are paying for. Calls to tech service go on forever until they eventually tell you that it is our wifi router that is the problem, even though it works with all but one tv in the house, and to call the router manufacturer. If you're thinking about switching to Vmedia to save money, be aware.......you'd be better off just running away.....RUN AWAY!!!
Total trash service. If you’re new customer and call them they will pick up your call in less then 10 seconds BUT when you become existing customer and tried to call there customer support they will not pick up your call before 45 minutes wait time. Not recommend to anyone they also charge $25 when returning there rental modem which no one told at time of start up. Worst internet provider in whole
Very difficult to cancel. Poor, unreliable service. They also charge $25 after returning the modem for a "re-stocking" fee. Switched to Bell for all services and it's been working well ever since.
Don't, just don't get Vmedia. Their "cheap" prices is a bait and switch. You'll end up paying more here, they have "fine print" to increase prices during the contract term and keep all of your modem refund. Service isn't the best either. You'll get way better service for a bit more elsewhere, and save on a long run.
DO NOT DO OUR MISTAKE. We moved to new Brunswick, got VMedia internet, noone ever showed up for installation after telling us 5 times on the day of that someone would be coming. We were then told at the end of the installation appointment, when noone came to install it that it was a self installation appointment. We tried to install with a technician on the phone who could not get the internet to work. We were PROMISED that the internet would work when we wake up, as we needed it desperately for work from home, and to our surprise we did NOT have internet still. We had to book a hotel room for 5 days to get through the week with internet for work from home. This was our absolute worst experience with a company ever. We demanded our refund and have not received it all still up until this day. DO NOT GET SERVICES WITH VMEDIA!!
I don't know why suddenly I see bad reviews looks suspicious to me. I have Vmedia for 4 years and had less problems than with rogers and bell . I pay steady price for the past 4 years for internet and basic TV and if the service continues I will stay with VMEDIA and save money.
