This is the first time renting from Vistek. Needed a lens for an indoor event hence checked online for options. I was not sure how each lens would feel on my cameracrop sensor with crop factor hence I didn't make a reservation but went directly to Vistek. They were very supportive by providing the two lenses for me to test on my camera at the shop and to choose from. That gave me clarity and confidence that the lens I rent will serve the purpose. The process even as a first time renter was smooth. Just had to provide an identification. The rental amount for the lens I borrowed over the weekend was acceptable too. The only mild inconvenience is the return time of weekend rentals is, before 11am on the following Monday. As a working professional it makes it hard to be there at that time to return the borrowed gear. Other than that the rental process, return and the store service was amazing.
Couldn't be happier with the service and care that goes into each and every order. This past season was my first try placing an order through the live chat consultant. Joseph B handled my order and assisted with a return as well. I appreciate the personalized experience, your suggestions and check ins regarding my new gear. In store they had even honoured a lower interest rate during an exchange as I'd just missed the return window. I've been so impressed with the ease of each transaction and met with only kindness and support. The staff in store at both the Toronto & Mississauga location have been quick to offer assistance and great care every time. It's so comforting to be welcomed both in-store and online with a knowledgable AND friendly team. Definitely my go-to shop for all future orders. Vistek! Over the years I have bought some gear; cameras, lenses a little ink and……Always impressed at how easy the process from website experience to delivery and after purchase services. I enjoy the news letter it helps me stay in touch with pricing and new gear. One day I will have to visit the store but for now I like the idea that Vistek can deliver.
Vistek is amazing. The store is beautifully laid out. Great in store selection, and excellent customer service. I was also pleasantly surprised that prices were very reasonable on all of my purchases. Either the same or less than other online offers.Glad to have found Vistek…it will definitely be my go to store from now on!
Cool store, sometimes I go there to buy some camera gear. The prices are a bit more expensive than Amazon, but it makes sense. I love their second floor . Employees are always helpful and giving advices if you need. They also have an equipment rental service, which sometimes helps me a lot.
Vistek is an amazing camera store located in Corktown. I've been to the store during my college days. It's the store where I bought some of my camera gear. The staff are super friendly and have given expert advice on how to use the gear properly. The exterior architecture is unique as it has significant history to the city.
I had the pleasure of working with James S. today. We were having a million issues with our company cards and were there for almost 2 hours. James was very patient with us and offered many solutions for us to try their best to work through everything as quickly and efficiently as they could. Ultimately, we were the crazy customers here but James was a champ! Thank you so much for all of your help today James!!!!
My sales guy Henry Z, went over and above to ensure i got my purchase today! He even waited for me after hours to pick it up! What great customer service! Will definitely buy from him again!
Trade up - 50% of current retail or less. They’re greedy and try every way to lock you in with ‘credits’ so you’re stuck spending anything left on them. Anthony L is slow. After my trade-in, I overpaid for a lens $250 dollars and then exchanged for a cheaper lens. They tried to lock in additional money I added on top of the trade-in value that’s wasn’t even theirs to begin with. It’s okay when you overpay but not when they overpay. It’s like pulling teeth to get hard earned money back. Manager just hides on phone trying to scoop of your $$ and associates don’t care for customer - only commissions. Won’t ever be back. No wonder brick and mortars is a dying business.
Vistek actually had the tether cable that I needed, unlike their competitor that said they had it but after driving to said competitor on a busy day to get it, they, in fact, did NOT. They also had a reasonably priced boom arm that I needed. Thank you to Andrew for making my visit to Vistek quick, efficient and pleasant.
