Have no electricity for over 24 hours. No one is contacting me back. My 2 year old has cancer. And they are ignoring us. The maintenance man cut electric wires when I first moved in. It surged out the house and my surge protector caught on fire, the stove blew and the furnace went out and my personal washer. Now I have partial electricity. We are freezing, can't cook or nothing. Now they are saying I should have called back if no one never showed up and I've called several times. It is documented.
I called to inquire about a couple properties they had listed and it went from 1 person to another on the automated system and nobody ever picked up the phone. I was looking for a home and they obviously didn't care that may be why the office is looking run down.
Please see attached pictures. The previous tenant was literally still living in the home when we showed up from 3 hours away with our moving truck on the first day of our signed lease. This issue was ignored and unresolved by VIP realty.
Not a good experience. Not reliable. They lie. It takes a million years for someone to get back with you. I did not put in a application in fear of my money being taken. I think they take their potential renters as a joke. Push come to shove they need to be reported to attorney General office...it's ridiculous some businesses have no business being in business
Overall the house a decent. They do come and fix things when you do a maintenance order. The house needs some upgrades the floors and the bath can use a remodeled. Otherwise everything was cool. I would rent from them again!
This is a 2 part review... PART I: I am a homeowner. At the beginning, it all seemed to be going well. At one point, I was having issues with moving. I reached out to Christina and explained what was going on & let her know in no uncertain terms that I would not be out prior to 4 or 5pm. Before I continue, I must advise you to use e-mail as your source of communication as I did. Christina then got back to me stating that the tenants refused to come later in the day. The day I was to move out, Christina came by to get some information and had seen the progress of my move. The tenants then show up and are surprised that I had not completely moved out. At this time I explain to them everything that had happened and they then tell me that Christina did not tell them anything, just asked what time they'd be there. Christina also told them that all I had was a few boxes left to move when she had arrived earlier that morning, which was a lie. However, I got all of my stuff out and the the true nightmare began. Once I moved to my new residence, I had confronted Christina about the situation that could have been avoided if she had spoken to the tenants as she said she did. Christina then tells me of these phone conversations that we had, which never occurred. PLEASE REMEMBER, I had all the e-mails and presented them to her. From this moment on, I no longer could reach Christina. Every question I had, I cannot get in contact with ANYONE in the office. THANK GOD FOR ACCOUNTING!!! I do not know what Mary's job duties consist of, however, I believe that she went above and beyond to answer all my questions. Later Chris joined VIP and he was helpful as well. I remember once I had sent MULTIPLE e-mails to VIP Christina, Sean and Aubrey. I did not get a response until I finally added Mary and I think she responded to me at 3am on her day off. 3-4 months prior to the lease expiring, I e-mailed the VIP team to let them know that the current tenants did not have the option to renew the lease. I hear nothing. I then e-mail them 3 more times. I still hear nothing. At this point, I seriously worried that the company would let the tenants renew the lease. I then send a certified letter AND because I hear nothing from VIP, I reach out to accounting. Mary let's me know that the tenants will be out at the end of the lease. As the end of the lease approached I asked what was going on, when will they be out, what was the move-out procedure, etc. Of course, I hear nothing back. So at this point, after 3 weeks of nothing and VIP telling me that the tenants had moved all but a few misc. things, I show up to the condo on the last day of the lease. I then find the tenant there claiming to be doing some repairs. PART II: After this conversation with the tenant, I continue to try to reach VIP. Then day after I had spoken to the tenant, I call and Pam answers and was helpful. She tells me that Sean is at the condo and I can meet him there. I then meet Shawn only to find that the the tenants had done a decent amount of damage to my home`. I have attached a couple of photos because the tenant claims to have no clue as to why he didn't receive his deposit back. Once this happens, very little communication with VIP which included them telling me that I would have to pay for the damages that the deposit wouldn't cover but I could take them to court for the money I'd spend and a month and a half later, I finally have wrapped up my business with them. I have gotten most of the damages taken care of. I could have put up an ad on craigslist and found better tenants. If you do business with VIP, I'd advise that you don't pay VIP to find tenants for you if you and make sure that every conversation is documented. However their communication is horrible and not at all what I'd expect from a property management company.
I usually don't offer a review on anything really. Let me first say that Patty is a sweetheart and was extremely helpful and made herself available to me for showing. I viewed the unit I was interested in renting and put the deposit down. A week later I was given an opportunity to buy and contacted VIP to inform them. I spoke with Christina and she was also very pleasant to me. I spoke with her about my deposit and asked what could be done. She explained that she would send Patty an email ao she can market the property and speak to her about my desposit. I understand that every company has their policies, and mostly those policies are in place to protect them from loss. My issue is that after. Informed VIP that I would pass on the unit I never received a call back. For me it's really not about the money in the end, it's really about customer service and courtesy. I have left messages and still no call back. Since then the sale of the home I was purchasing did not go through because sellers backed out. I would've still rented the unit or even another unit if the experience had just been a little better. My feeling is that if this is how VIP interacts with a prospective tenant then what kind of experience would I have after moving in?? I truly hope that some adjustments are made regarding the communication style of this company, I truly believe that they have some wonderful people working there.
