This is the cheapest food you can find on campus plus the portions are great. I like that they always have fresh veggies. I usually get the vermicelli bowl and the veggies/meat ratio is great. The sandwiches are so cheap and you get a free one for every 10 bought.
This place has made my world turn. The people who work there are by far the happiest people who work at McGill. 10/10 experience. I live off of this place.
Very convenient for McGill students, however they close very earlysoup noodles are until 3pm. Their vietnamese breads are pretty disappointing. I would only go for their soup noodles.
Good to see that Vinh's Cafe is open again. By far the best Banh Mi sandwhiches in the area made freshly on the spot. Customisable with many options, including two great faux-meat vegetarian options! For now the lines aren't too long, but with classes starting up again I'd recommend going in on time to avoid lines of students. Highly recommend going for spicy with the green chillies.
Best place to grab a quick meal during school! Extremely filling sandwiches at a great price! The food is fresh and refreshing, its made in front of you and its customizable to your liking so its hard to have a bad experience!
A must-go place if you live in Montreal / go to McGill. Vihn's Cafe is my favorite place to grab food. The staff are amazing, the ingredients are fresh, and the taste is immaculate. They have reasonable pricing with the pho and Vermicellis around $10 and everything else cheaper. My favorite was the beef pho and vermicelli bowls! The only downside is that they are not open in the mornings.
Vinh's Cafe was my favourite place to grab food on McGill campus pre-Covid. Not only is it cheap, it also has the best Vietnamese comfort food a student could ask for between classes. They have a variety of rolls, sandwiches the pulled pork is my personal favourite and pho to choose from! You can ask for a stamp card and you'll get a free sandwich after 10 orders and you can even pay with your student meal plan. When campus opens up again hopefully soon I'd definitely recommend McGill students to go try out Vinh's cafe, it has such a nice calm atmosphere compared to McGill's canteens and there's actual room to sit down and talk to your friends over some yummy Vietnamese food.
As a McGill student I visit Vihns way too often. I think their sandwiches are great but my favourites are the fresh viet rolls and their special soup. The price is very reasonable but I find that over the years they have become stingy with the amount of veggies and noodles they give in their vermicelli bowls so I stopped getting those. But generally still a very convenient spot to go for students! The downside is that lineup and wait can become long during lunch time and they aren’t open during summer or when classes aren’t on.
This is the best meal you could expect from McGill campus maybe Trottier as well. They used to serve pho but not anymore since 2018 Fall, the sandwiches and the vermicelli are still pretty good with reasonable prices though. Personally i will also suggest the homemade taro dessert, it is not so sweet but natural with the amazing taste of taro
