I thought of trying a different Vietnamese restaurant and with the good reviews online, this was the choice today. First the plus points. There's ample parking at the back and the restaurant is bright and clean with lots of tables. They also have a kids menu and a wider selection of dishes. We walked in through the back door and there's a chime that signaled we had entered. No one came up and we walked to the front. The server looked at us puzzled and I said we need a table for 5. She indicated that we can have a seat at any of the tables. We ordered and the food came quickly. The portions were smaller than we expected. I had the house special bed noodle and was not very impressed. The soup doesn't have the omph you'll expect from a rich broth. The grilled chicken rice and duck noodle was just ok, nothing to shout about. The Vietnamese coffee isn't as strong as the regular Vietnamese coffee that I've had before and was too sweet. Overall, a disappointment as my expectations were high.
We’re a group of 3 dropping by after spending time at Cultus Lake. This is the first time we’ve been here and we were so surprised with the food here. I was amazed by “Bun dau mam tom” and “bun cha ca” here, I have ever tried a lots of places, but these items were the best ones I have been tried. Specially, the price was really affordable I will definitely come back again.!!
Viet Taste Vietnamese totally rocks! Their soup is like a cozy hug, and that lemongrass chicken? Mind-blowing flavor, seriously. If you're up for some legit Vietnamese goodness, don't miss out.Food: 5/5
I got there combo which comes with viet coffee or 5 bean dessert, large pho and spring roll. Pretty good value for the price. Portion size for the large is on par with other restaurants, but not close to pho super bowl. Soup base was good, but not herby enough to have a unique taste. Restaurant was clean but parking sucks. Big pool of water on rainy days. One way entry into this small alley right beside the restaurant, hard to get in, which exit I should be using is beyond me as there are no clear signage. I've been here a few times now but I have to downgrade to 4 stars because... No paper towel in the men's washroom, the third time in a row.. The ice in the 3 bean dessert should be more crushed. I had big chunks of ice cubes in mine. The salad rolls are tiny and peanut sauce wasn't thick enough. Portion size got smaller, last time I went I got half a bowl instead of the usual filled to 3/4 of a bowl. Parking: Big pool of water on rainy days. One way entry into this small alley right beside the restaurant, hard to get in, which exit I should be using is beyond me as there are no clear signage. We are not suppose to go through the tire shop right?
One more great restaurant for Vietnamese cuisine in Chilliwack. Ordered special pho combo, the soup noodle portion is huge, we shared and enjoyed it very much. The PHO brouth is delicious, no artificial taste at all. Restaurant is clean and bright, service is fast and friendly. Will visit it again soon.Food: 5/5
If you enjoy food made from scratch, this place is where you want to go. We ordered pho and chicken on rice, both executed perfectly by the chef/owner Anna. The ambience of the restaurant is clean, bright and very spacious. It’s only open for not even a week and it’s already fairly busy! I cannot wait to take my wife to come back again!
Excited to have authentic and good Vietnamese food in Chilliwack! We had a great first impression of the food at their grand opening today—large pho had noodles that were cooked perfectly, good broth, and good portions. The spring roll has taro inside and both the Vietnamese sub and three bean drink are tasty. We’ll be back to try the other dishes. Highly recommend.
I ordered the free range chicken noodle soup for take out. It was a delicious broth with the components packaged separately. I especially loved the chicken, it was roasted, not boiled, generous slices that were tender and flavourful. Next time I'll have dinner in the restaurant. Parking: Parking lot was small and not easy to exit from. But there was a handicapped spot available.
The service was also top-notch - the staff were friendly and attentive, and they made sure that everything was to our liking. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, and it was a great place to relax and enjoy a warm bowl of noodles. I would highly recommend Viet Taste Restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Vietnamese food, Especially beef noodle soup. It's definitely one of the best places to try this classic dish in Chilliwack town.
Visiting this Chilliwack Vietnamese Pho restaurant 2 weeks after its opening. It’s the most unassuming restaurant from its exterior and doesn’t look like it would be as big as it is inside. The interior is spacious, clean, tastefully decorated, and their friendly staff made added to our wonderful dining experience. We ordered the large House Special Pho which is massive. If you’re hungry, this will fill you up! And also a chicken soup pho, and a taro bubble tea. All yummy! You’ve gotta check this place out. Highly recommended.
