Great organic, vegan food! A gem in the rough, we would have never found this place if it wasn't for the internet! The prices can be a little high, but it is high quality so it is to be expected. We started with the 'Mood Food Smoothie', then got their soup of the day which was some sort of Thai butternut squash The best soup I've ever had. We split 'Vidyas vegan Caesar' and for a main, both got 'BBQ jackfruit sandwich'. It was all good, but I personally prefer jackfruit to be pulled a bit more. Other than that, everything was delicious and it is a great atmosphere. I'm sure their events are great too!
A gem! This is my new favourite restaurant and I’m a little sad because I’ve been driving past it for years and never ate here until now. Absolutely a beautiful place inside and out. This 160 year old building is charming, warm and inviting. The staff is amazing and the food is vegan heaven.
I’m by no means a vegetarian myself but do go for the occasional vegetarian meal. Food was amazing! Fresh and wholesome. Shakes were great, coffee was so-so, service was friendly.
Not your ordinary dining experience. The place and people have character. Food is made with love and was delicious. They offer a cleanse retreat at attached Yoga centre and I probably will return to take advantage of it. I have nothing but praises for this place.
Beautiful, adorable old fashioned house atmosphere love it! but to our huge disappointment a friendly staff offered us with a horrible food. Honestly, without been picky. We are the vegan-vegetarian family for a whole life and yes, know the taste of vegetables. This one was not a restaurant kind food at all - it was more like a cheap cafe kind. First, a lot of dishes were simply not available in that day. Okay, we can completely understand and except it but at the end of limited choice we were served with literally reheated potato wedges I guess from yesterdays dinner even my son who is a BIG fan of fries could not eat it and told that it's something wrong with it, a jack fruit dish was unpalatable, even a bread was old! Yet, it was just two of us at the whole restaurant in that day - no rush not a busy time. Would not recommend, at list while the owner or the chef/menu would not change. I hope that this beautiful place would be updated with their serving food.
This place is SO COOL! An expansive menu filled with so many delicious vegan, organic options - including some incredible desserts! We particularly loved the portabello burger and the brownie dessert. So tasty! The staff were nice and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxing. We also got our meals very quickly which we appreciated. The actual restaurant is in this super cool old building and we were allowed to look around after our meal. It's such a beautiful space with so much history! There is even a yoga studio in the back! My only drawback is that the restaurant offers goat cheese. As a vegan it left me a little confused and wondering why they would go almost completely vegan but not quite. It's easy to decipher which meals have goat cheese and that meals can be substituted or ordered without but it just left me wondering why they would offer than one non-vegan option.
My wife and I have driven by many times and decided to try dinner here. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and the staff were very friendly. The atmosphere was inviting, relaxing, and interesting. The food was delicious and we both had a lovely time. We wanted to try everything on the unique menu. We will be back soon.
Meals were incredibly tasty and being a vegan with Celiac I was happy I found a place where I didn't have to worry about the menu and what I could/couldn't eat. If you go here, making sure to leave extra time because they cook everything from scratch. I would say that it is well worth the wait for the taste. The service was friendly, however on this visit she forgot about our desert which added more time. The prices are a bit too high for the portion you receive. Overall a good experience and some of the best Vegan food I've ever had.
I had the most amazing dinner experience I have ever had at this little gem in Thornton. I am not a vegan, nor do I need to eat gluten free. But my meal was just that. The flavors in my meal from my soup to entree were out of this world. The atmosphere was so relaxing after a long day at work and I didn't feel awful after I ate like I always do at any other Restaurant I go to. It was not a meal of processed food, it was fresh!! I highly recommend this Restaurant,I stopped going out for dinner because nothing ever WOWED me Vidya's did.
It was beautiful restaurant. The food was a bit more expensive then your ordinary restaurant but that is to be expected when you are at a vegan/vegetarian organic restaurant. Better food = more money. The pasta bowl was one of the best pastas I ever had. There was a bit of a wait time because everything is made fresh so keep that in mind. The desert we had was delicious. The coconut milk ice cream was to die for. This restuarant is a perfect example of how good vegetarian and vegan food can really be!
