It was our first time visiting this evening. The place was hopping. Food was fantastic. It took awhile but they were busy and it was worth the wait. We ordered the mozzarella bacon burger and fries... Delicious!
I gave a genuine personal review, in return I got a link to a public post ‍ asking for the customers to be understanding. I understand that I paid $39.51 for 2 people and I wasn't happy with the experience. That's what I understand. That was 3 stars. Now due to the impersonal response...1. No effort to please customers that left disappointed
I had requested the chicken burger, asking if it could be made spicy or with a hot sauce. The gentleman offered me to try the spicy bacon chicken burger.. it was DELICIOUS! My bill was only $10 and it was a loaded burger which was filling and I’ll definitely want more again soon. Also, the man was extremely kind. He made a great recommendation, and when I was waiting outside for the order to be ready, he walked out to hand me my burger by my car! Above and beyond.
Well, it didnt quite seem the same as it had been.. its been a very long time since Ive been there..20+ yrs. We found it... Okay, at best. We ordered burgers and fries. It was very greasy. Huge helpings but the little we did eat sat in out guts like rocks. We ended up throwing half of the food out. The milkshakes were awesome though.
We stopped at Vickies for a bite to eat on the way home it was terrible. I used to come there as a kid in the 90s and it was fantastic. It took over 15 minutes to get a children's order of popcorn chicken and fries. My friend ordered chicken strips and fries and that was served 5 minutes later. Finally our other friend got served 10 minutes after that and her waffles were soggy and the chicken was over cooked. There was maybe 3 other people in the entire restaurant. No apology was offered, nobody and nobody asked how our food was, which was terrible aside from the fries. Pretty disappointed as I used to come here as a kid and loved it. I won't be back.
The service was friendly and the food was excellent. The portions could be a little bigger. An order of onion rings only gets you 5. I always leave this place feeling like I got great value for the money though.Food: 4/5

Food is still fabulous after all these years, been eating there since I was a kid. Deluxe burger is the best, and the fries nothing like them anywhere.Food: 5/5
Honestly I love Vickie's fries. They are my favourite. I'll drive in from Winnipeg just for those. The only issue I have is their social media. Their responses to reviews are almost always unprofessional and putting the customer down, or blaming it on what seems to be a rotating door of staff. It's not a good look for the business.
The food was delicious. There only seemed to be one lady working and it was pretty busy at the time but she absolutely nailed it! I was impressed.
