I ordered pasta carbonara and it came with black pepper. The menu didn't have pepper and I don't like foods that have pepper. Because this, we always prefer Italian restaurants, especially here in Canada. I ordered another one without the pepper and so it was amazing, really good. My suggestion is: as Italian restaurants in Italy don't use pepper, I suggest offering it after the dish is ready, I think it would be a good idea. The restaurant is beautiful, the attendants are friendly and the price matches the menu offered.
We had a reso for 8:30 and we were nearby so we decided to test our luck and head in 15 mins early and they were all ready for us! As we were seated we noticed this is one of the nicest dining rooms in town I've been to! Our server Morgan was very professional and had the perfect amount of friendly banter and helped my vegetarian partner chose a good veggie option gnocchi and I had the carbonara. She even accomodated my neurodivergent partner by bringing out a selection of different sized spoons because the fork was too large. My guanchale was cooked to perfection and the sauce was perfect! We started with the capresse salad but were a lil surprised it came without bread, it would amp up the dish just slightly!!! Cocktails were tasty and they have a huge beer and wine selection. We found the music a little loud once the dining room died down but other than that we have absolutely no complaints.we will definitely return to try the pizza next time, we found the music a little loud once the dining room died down but other than that we have absolutely no complaints! Congrats on the beautiful new place guys. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are limited but very tasty, highly recommended the gnocchi for veggie eaters!
I am a huge pasta lover and seafood lover so I knew I had to try the pasta with lobster. Unfortunately, it was bit bland and the lobster didn’t sing the way I wanted it too, disappointing given the potential and the price. All the other meals at the table were lovely and the tiramisu I had for dessert was delicious and was a huge portion! Our servers were obviously quite new but willing to learn and to laugh at themselves when things weren’t perfect. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere was nice.
As a party of six we were seated at a cozy booth. The ambience was great, but, the place was too noisy to really enjoy our evening fully. The evening started with our wine order which was messed up as I had to sit till the others were pretty much finished their wine before I could get the servers attention to remind her about my glass of wine. When the server took our orders she forgot to mention that the mains only come as the protein, starches were an extra charge. Personally we agreed that the server was looking after more than she could handle. But in the end the co-manager helped make our evening more enjoyable. We will be back again. Kid-friendliness: The lady that was co-managing during our visit was awesome. She did everything she could to make our experience more enjoyable. Because of her and the delicious chicken, I will be back.
An amazing new authentic Italian restaurant. Service was great with no issues. Loved starters, main and desert. Lots of options but not too many to confuse the ordering process. Did not have a chance to try the drink menu but it looked robust. A++, will eat again. Vegetarian options: Vegan options available. Dietary restrictions: They were very willing to adjust if neccessary.
Was hoping for a good Italian experience for pei, this wasn’t it. The service was border line meh. I thought the meatballs were just alright but pasta was bad. The best thing was probably the bread served before the meal. We asked for more but didn’t get it, for what ever reason. All in all, new paint job but same as previous resto. Wait time was much higher than expected. Hopefully it was an off night and it improves. We went next door for some food and there were zero fruit flies.
Last evening I took my sons out for supper, to celebrate a birthday. The place was lovely. The manager, Megan, was warm friendly and inviting. Her staff are following her example. I had a dietary question and the chef came out to our table to discuss the menu. Our pizza was fantastic and at the end of the evening they brought a complimentary dessert to the birthday boy man. We all went home with leftovers because the personal pizzas were large. Thumbs up for opening a new restaurant in peak season and making it look easy.
Had my bolognese I didn't remember the full name was in Sunday evening. The dish is great, the meat was well seasoned and very tender. The pasta was cooked well. The atmosphere was chill with lots of pedestrians walking by and nice music band on the pavement. I'll definitely come back and try more dishes. Highly recommended this authentic Italian restaurant in Charlottetown!!!
We were super excited for our first reservation here for my friends birthday. We’ve been waiting eagerly for an Italian restaurant in Charlottetown but unfortunately we left very disappointed. Nobody at our table enjoyed our appetizers or mains and only one of us finished our meal. The drinks were good and our server was very nice. We had to wait around 45 mins for our food which wasn’t the end of the world, but when it came we weren’t offered fresh cracked pepper or Parmesan like at most high end Italian restaurants. The complimentary focaccia and specialty butter was delicious. Really hoping this place can figure things out once they’re open for a bit longer. Would love to have a go to Italian place in town for special occasions. Unfortunately the high price point compared to the quality of food we received does not warrant a return trip for us as of right now.
Recommended Italian restaurant on the walking mall on Richmond St. Food was very good we had the meatballs, tagliatelli and bolognese. Foccacia bread starter with honey-butter basil was a nice opener. Service was quick, knowledgeable and friendly. Jazz band nearby added to romantic touch.Food: 4/5
