Very cozy place with friendly wait staff. Food wasn’t bad. Poutine was too salty. Brussel sprouts are amazing - must try! They offer a boardgame menu to keep you entertained while you wait for food. The outdoor heater was a nice touch for their enclosed patio.Food: 3/5
Hands down the coolest and most fun place in town! All the staff were kind and very attentive when we walked in even though they were busy. There’s different games that friends, family, couples or kids can play while waiting for the food or even during! I had the Caesar salad which I’m so picky about and have to say this was one of the best I’ve had in a long time! Incredible salad and presentation too! The Vic Burger lived up to the name! The owner Gary was there as well, super nice guy he took time to make sure we were happy and even chatted with us for a little. Highly recommend, we will be going back for sure!
We decided to drive to PEC for the day and had this place in mind while we visited. First off they are pet friendly which we brought our Sheltie out for the day. They have designated outdoor space for pets and were ready for the lunch special. We had the Vic Burgers with deep fried pickles! Great tasting food and service was great. The owner was great and made sure chat with patrons. It was a hot day so enjoyed it with some cold ciders. It’s worth the stop and glad we did. Great job everyone!
My boyfriend and I stopped here recently while travelling and both absolutely loved it!! The food & drinks that we got were amazing and the vibe of the restaurant was so cool. I also really appreciated how nice everyone was who worked there.Food: 5/5
I got the coconut shrimp so you don't have to. 18$ for 6 pieces, did you guys spray gold flakes in it? I expected a lot more for such a premium, and needless to say, I was disappointed. The server could've mentioned something about the portion size since that's the only thing I ordered. Talking about the service, all they did was take our orders and bring the food, do you really think you deserve 18% gratuity? Maybe you guys should focus on the quality of service before thinking about how to milk the tourists. Just FYI, if your restaurant choose to include automatic gratuities, you should let the customer know in advance through signs or print it on the menu. Imagine paying 24$ for 6 pieces of shrimp, and I'm not even in the movie theatre!
Vic Social is such a fun place in PEC. The milkshake was scrumptious, the patio was spacious, and the theme inside of 80s/90s musicians was cool. I also am a huge fan of the games menu; that really sets it apart as a great social spot with a big group of friends. The owner, Gary, was also extremely welcoming and warm. I would definitely return.
Vic Social in Picton is undeniably the newest and most vibrant addition to Main Street. With its fresh new look, fantastic games area, super friendly staff although a bit slow and revamped menu, this diner will quickly become the go-to spot for an unforgettable outing with friends or the whole family. The tastefully decorated interior combined retro elements with modern touches, creating a delightful ambiance that was both cozy and fun! If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend paying a visit to Vic Social—it will undoubtedly leave you with a smile on your face and a satisfied appetite :
Stopped here for lunch on our first time in Picton. We sat out in the patio and thought the atmosphere was great for a lazy afternoon drink and eat. My burger was pretty good, the service was great!Food: 4/5
**Review for Vic Social, Picton:** Our experience at Vic Social was, unfortunately, riddled with disappointment. The grilled Caesar salad, although boasting a pleasant charred flavor, was scanty for its price. The so-called fresh-cut russet fries tasted oddly and felt more like previously frozen varieties. The deep-fried brussels sprouts, while initially tasty, turned out to be too greasy by the end. The "pound and a half" of wings was merely eight medium-sized ones, and they were undercooked. To top it off, their in-house hot sauce was a letdown. In short, we left Vic Social with a strong sense of buyer's remorse. The ambiance wasn’t inviting, and the offerings lacked both in quantity and quality for the price. We felt the establishment aligns with the typical tourist-trap stereotype: high costs for subpar experiences. Our advice? Do thorough research before choosing to dine here. On a side note, the service from our waitress was decent.
We came here for dinner on a girls trip weekend. The restaurant has lots of seating space on their outdoor patio which I think is somewhat of a rare find in Picton. The server was super friendly and sat us and served us quickly! Drinks were good - we got Caesar’s & ciders and they were awesome. I do think the Caesar’s were doubles though because they were $14 which is pretty pricey for a Caesar, but they weren’t on the menu & were made really good so we appreciated it nonetheless! Food was amazing! Chicken tenders, Caesar salad, Vic burger & deep friend pickles were all really good! Truffle fries are AMAZING. Food came out quick and was hot, is affordable and good sized portions!
