We boarded with luggage on our way to Montreal. Station is being renovated but was sufficient and I’m sure is being improved. Staff was helpful in station.nnNo problem, with English as primary language, to navigate and not worry about missing train!nnTrain staff was great! Food and beverage service was nice. Bathrooms on train had some issues but overall we enjoyed the trip thru the countryside.
Horribly managed company with no regard for customer services.nn2 extremely disappointing experiences in one trip. What a turmoil of a trip, never again!nnFirst, I booked 4 quad seats facing each other only to board and realize that the seat numbers did not correlate to the booking. Ended up having to sit separately from the rest of my family.nnSecond. After about 1 hour into our journey, another train not our train broke down and our train had to return to it just to try to push it back to our starting destination. We were stuck at the tracks for almost 3 hours, only to start pushing back to our original destination. Compensation that was offered - to disembark and find our own way with our own money to our destination. Absurd! There was barely any communication from the service staff and absolute chaos. Was stuck for more than 4 hours from our departure time, at a point that was negative of a journey, and the staff didn’t even bother to offer water or food for passengers. After 5 whole hours of being stuck on the train, back to where we started, they served a single slice of pizza as compensation. A total of 9 hours stuck in that dreadful train, a slice of pizza was all that was offered.nnTrain services at third world countries offer more compassion than this!
Beautiful terminal building for the Canadian VIA rail system. Was here early morning to catch a train to Montreal and while the stores and restaurants inside were still not open, the station building itself was relatively clean and safe with plenty of seating available. Also love the architecture of the building!
The train station building is quite beautiful. It is going through some redisign or preservation work.
