Dr.Sherwood is an angel. She is very invested in every pet that comes through her doors. Her staff is well trained and personable. They are very professional and treat everyone with kindness and respect. I have never felt so understood and cared for by a vet before.
A wonderful location on 97th Street. This new facility offers a friendly and knowledgeable staff with a smooth calming atmosphere! The staff was easy to speak with and helpful with questions.
My mini Schnauzer unexpectedly ate 80 grams of chocolate at 6pm on a weeknight. My regular vet was closed. VCA did a phone consult first and were very knowledgeable when we arrived. With Covid protocols, I was unable to go inside. However, they kept me apprised of my dog's condition with phone calls and laid out all of my treatment options including prices. They were very supportive and professional. My doggie made a full recovery and is doing well.
We took our dog here when she broke her leg. They did the surgery and fixed her leg so that's great however we ended up paying $1500 more than they quoted us with no warning or explanation. When my girlfriend visited our puppy after surgery she noticed that her area was filthy and she had urine and feces on her near her stitches. When she pointed this out they handed her the supplies to clean it herself. While she is a medic and completely capable it was extremely unprofessional. I can only hope that if our dogs ever need emergency care again it's within our own vets working hours.
***Graphic Picture**** My dog had an interaction with a porcupine. They were really attentive and quick getting Tam sedated so she stopped rubbing, minimizing her pain and further damage. Her treatment was thorough and I felt like the staff really cares. The staff kept us updated throughout treatment and took the time to answer questions. Before and after pics.
I saw online on a different website that they took emergencies, but when I got there they told me they didn't anymore. I was crying and distraught, but they helped me find the nearest emergency that could take me, and even checked on my bird to make sure he'd be okay between then and the trip to the emergency clinic. I appreciate their kindness so so SO much, and can tell the staff truly care about animals and their humans. Thank you so much. :
My niece's dog needed emergency dental surgery, but we needed to get some of the infection down first. A few days later, she had 12 teeth removed and is now a happy, healthy dog. We are pleased overall with the service we received. Tara was extremely professional. Kendra certainly knows her business. We felt very comfortable and confident leaving our precious one with her and the rest of the staff. I would highly recommend this clinic. Thank you.
