This restaurant is a hidden gem that you must find. I am so happy to experience such an athentic cuisine at this restaurant. I and my friend were so ready to eat a lot today because we waited for right day to come here and today was the day : we ordered chicken feet, pork entrails, and pork long feet. We assumed that it would be excessive portion for only two of us but we could not give up on any of them. First of all, the pork long feet exceeded our expectation. Both taste and portion were so great and 'prawn and chive pancake' was served as an appetizer before pork feetit was complimentary. And speaking of the pork feet, it was the best, and the best... I have never tasted this pork feet ever since I came to Canada. I can feel how authentic it is. And I also was able to feel the enthusiasm of chef toward the food. It was obvious that the cuisine was cooked with lots of love and effort. And next surprising one was stir-fried entrails. Not many restaurants serves it in Vancouver because it is not easy to get rid of the bad smell of the pork intestine. However, this place did such an awesome job on it. I barely noticed that it is pork intestine. It was pleasantly chewy, and two sauces came along with it went perfectly well. It magnified the nutty flavor of the pork intestine. I loved and loved it. And last one that I expected even in my dream was spicy chicken feet. It was perfectly marinated with the sauce and I am personally not so good at dealing with spiciness, but it was not overly spicy. I did not drink a lot of water, which was good because I need some space in my stomach for the food!! And we also ordered a rice ball because chicken feet and rice ball must be ordered together. They go along so well! Overall, my experience at this place was truly the best. And although it is pretty far for me to visit here, I will be regularly going to this place to make my tongue and stomach happy. I must recommend this place for all, especially those who are having homesickness or just sick and tired of ordinary cuisine.
Originally from Korea and saw some diverse ratings about this restaurant and wanted to check it out. I was very impressed with the food; the portion, authentic taste, with drinks were a perfect combination. The service was really good. Food came out at a perfect time, and the vibe in this restaurant is amazing, ran just like a korean restaurant. 10/10 recommend
Spicy pork feet and chicken with green onion are great~ and eat with rice ball is best~
Tried the food for the first time tonight. The fried chicken is good as well as the pork trotter. Overall we were pleased with the portions and the taste of the food. Unfortunately, what ruined our evening there was a server who, at the end of the dinner, noticed that we had not tipped over 15%. She then proceeded to call us out and tell us we should have tipped more and to do so for next time. Yet we were only a party of 4 it's a small restaurant and there was no indication that this was a policy at the restaurant. The service was not very good as we never got asked if we needed refills of side dishes or water, nor did she stop by our table to check on how we were doing or how the food was. She also didn't smile very much so... yeah. Next time you ask for a larger tip, perhaps consider providing better service to your customers. Especially when we are sitting right in front of the kitchen. She wasn't unpleasant, but calling out your customers for a tip, which is up to the customer, is pretty poor practice. Likely won't be coming back due to some poor customer service. Edit - looks like another table who were there at the same time as us also got called out, this time for not tipping at all.
Nice and big portion pork hock with salad. Restaurant served nice Sapporo draft beer For half & half fried chicken not crunchy enough for my taste. Overall great experience, good service and will come back again.
New owners, updated menu: Mostly large dishes $20+, for sharing; mainly Korean fried chicken. New rustic ecclectic decor, more dividers to separate sections but feels smaller. The food was decent, but nothing stood out. Open late midnight!. Not veg friendly. Good service.
Worst customer service ever. Honestly If I had an option I wouldn't even give them one star. The girl who was serving us took forever to take our order, when the food arrived the whole time she didn't once check up on us and ask us if we need anything!! For getting the bill, I had to go and get her and ask her. At the end when we didn't tip her she had the audacity asking us why there's no tip!!!! I'm never ever going back again and never recommending the place!! The food was ok. I would say 5/10
Great place to grab a bite and have some kfc. The portions are large and their chicken is delicious. Definitely a place to share food. Our server was quick and friendly. The chicken was crispy and saucy. The salad was a great side dish for the chicken. My partner really liked the pickled side dishes.
The interior is really nice. Perfect place for some drinking while enjoying some nice food. The food itself is really delicious. We got the chicken platter which was $40. They have so much chicken. Definitely worth the price. We also got a noodle soup which tasted really nice. The owner also gave use free popcorn and French fries while we chatted.
This is one of my favorite Korea restaurants in Vancouver for sure. The food is good the pricy is reasonable and then the owner of this restaurant is super super nice. Defs worth to go there again and again.
