What a fantastic setup for birthday parties or just getting out to climb. There are all sorts of challenges for people of all ages, young or mature. They are currently upgrading some new climbing challenges, which is exciting! Once completed, i will give them 5 stars. I'm looking forward to going again with my son this weekend!
We love this place and climb here regularly. Smaller than the Hive but the bouldering routes here are better and more interesting. The staff is excellent and the vibe is very laid back and social.
I didn’t actually get a chance to climb here however I had the opportunity to take a look around. The facility is definatley on the older side however it looks like they have been trying to make a few improvements. The holds could probably use an upgrade as well. The bouldering area at the back looked pretty fun however the mats look like they need some love. I hope this facility continues to make updates as it seems like it has a pretty psyched crew of members.
Great birthday party place for kids and adults! Good rates! Young but experienced staff that was good at answering my questions and showing me the ropes. Oh yeah, the kids had a blast! The party room was a bit of a mess when we got up there but the space works great.
I have climbed at VA perhaps half a dozen times, and always found it to be a safe/positive/fun experience. The staff there clearly care about climbing and everyone there to climb, from beginners through veterans. I also recently completed VA’s intro to rock climbing course, which answered in particular the questions I had about belaying, as well as climbing in general. Cost is quite reasonable for what one gets out of a session at VA, particularly if bringing one’s own shoes/harness.
My kid enjoyed the classes for intro climbing. Clean place, friendly staff.
I first started visiting Vertical Adventures in February 2021 and I have since become a monthly member. I love the frequent visits to the gym and being able to watch and learn from other climbers. VA has been amazing for growing my climbing abilities and skills over the past 6 months. There are lots of different climbing walls for all skill levels and offering various challenges. There are multiple bouldering areas with newer padding, roped climbs with auto belays 8 routes currently, and a handful of top rope climbs, offering a lot of variety do all types of climbers. The entire gym has been freshly painted and updated and looks great! I liked the various murals on the walls as well. You can rent climbing shoes and harnesses here or bring your own. I love that they frequently change the routes to make things interesting and add new challenges. The climbing staff and community are a very welcoming and friendly bunch of people and I thoroughly enjoy the community aspect of climbing as well and learning from others. You must book your spot online before coming. Masks are mandatory as per the Manitoba health orders. The monthly memberships are very reasonably priced around $60 which gives you unlimited access to the gym it is worth it if you go at least once a week. They also offer 10 pass punch cards or you can pay individually for each visit. VA is a great indoor climbing gym that I would recommend!
VA is like that cool older sibling that you always want to be around. The updates over the last year have been a cherry on top. You won't beat the community and welcoming atmosphere.
VA was great before the shutdown, and now it's a high-class climbing experience. They have put a huge amount of work into the building and it couldn't look better. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and excited. So do yourself a favour and go for a climb.
The staff at Vertical Adventures are welcoming and knowledgeable, and it's a great community to be part of. Climbing there has always been a great experience, however now with all the new improvements and love that has gone into upgrading the facility, it is top-notch! There is always a fun new route to try and endless options with their bouldering areas, rope climbing and auto-belays. I am still a beginner and there's always a fun challenge and new skill to learn each time I'm there, and I can always ask for help because everyone is so friendly! The gym is awesome for newbies and experienced climbers alike.
