Less than a week after the installation, we see cracking of the window caulking. Installer used incorrect caulk as it feels grindy and not smooth like what is usually used in the shower. Sent multiple emails and called them multiple times. They keep saying they will get in touch with us as soon as the installer contacts them. They keep ignoring our emails and haven't heard back and it's been over 2 weeks. We paid good money for the windows and did not expect to get this type of issue after the sale / installation. It's totally unacceptable that less than a week after the installation, we see cracking of the caulking and even though we contacted them multiple times.
I went there because it was reccomend to buy a part for a patio door. The service was excellent and the gentleman who assisted me was knowledgeable and very professional. He took the time to validate my requirements and offered a simple and cost effective solution. The part door trim shield had to be custom cut and was ready on time and fit perfectly.
I'm giving you guys a 1 star and you didn't even do my windows! I do not appreciate your employees physically lifting and moving my 2 motorcycles because you didn't have the foresight to reserve parking the evening before doing work. Your staff even thought it was a great idea to leave one of my motorcycles on the sidewalk, which would have surely resulted in a ticket from the city if I hadn't noticed it on my way out the door. Not only was I not offered an apology from your staff, I was told that what they did was okay because one of them has a motorcycle themselves! In no way is this an appropriate response, and doesn't justify anyone moving the vehicles of strangers. Educate your employees on how to handle other people's property. They are adults, not children.
Major issues regarding the quality and durability of the product. It’s extremely disappointing that after just a few years, I can feel cold air coming in through gaps that shouldn’t be there. Also, the windows don’t line up properly and the frame of one of the screens cracked like it was made of sugar.
Very disappointed with their service left walls around frame very dirty full of fingerprints did very bad job in cleaning up. Windows locks are very flimsy break off easily. Asked for half screens which they told me they would do but after installing told me wasn't possible didn't have them in the last 5 years.
The windows that they installed in my house have all lost their gas and lasted only 8 years. They came and changed them and the gas has leaked again not even two years later. Spend a bit more and get better quality. I called them and they don't even bother to call back.
We had issues with the first windows order received that were not properly painted by their subcontractors interior color. We had an excellent service to fix this issue and they offered us to order brand new replacement windows that we decided to keep them white inside. Great team, you can buy in confidence knowing that if bad luck happens: it will be taken care of. During the split-frame installation, no scratch at all on our heritage mouldings around the window. Installers with lots of attention to details. Aluminium contouring outside looks great without nails and no flaws. Happy customer. Strongly recommend it.
2022 Beware and avoid! They installed a new door over a month ago with a defective lock and faulty installation. The door swings open on a gust of wind and the electronic lock gets jammed and wont lock. Ive written emails to the salesperson Patrick, left voicemails and showed up in person to try to get the company to fix the issues but to no response or avail. Once you have paid for their product they will breach their contract and warranties shamelessly.
I had very very bad experience, I do not advise you to go to this store. The advisers are very incompetent and unprofessional, they are not there to help you, they are there to delay your project. They are very late for just an answer. I went to buy an entrance door, the advisor told me that the door I wanted to buy was out of stock and he could sell the door on the floor, I went three times just to get a quote and finally, he sent me the quote for a new door after 2 months with no apologies I have all the emails and conversations. I don't know the other shops in Verdun Porte but I would not recommend wasting your time on St. Jacques store.
The worst service I've had in a long, long time dealing with Portes et Fenetres Verdun. The windows were defective and were damaged during installation. Though the company acknowledged and promised to fix the windows, we have spent hours running after them, calling them, and 5 months later they still have done nothing. Additionally, once they got paid, prior to installation, dealing with them afterwards was completely different. They were rude and everyone passed the problems on to the next person. Especially rude was Nathalie from the manufacturing department. We paid for the windows in December, waited until March for the installation, and we are currently August and still no response from them on when they will fix our window. This is a warning... NEVER deal with this company! If I could give them no stars I would.
