Calgary North Veterinary Hospital is a 24 hour Companion Animal Primary Care, Walk In and Emergency facility.

Story

Extended hour appointments are available from 8:30 AM – 10:00 PM daily to accommodate the needs of our clients and their valued pets. Walk-ins are welcome 24 hours a day. All ages, breeds, and sizes are welcome.

Calgary North also treats exotic animals: reptiles, birds, and pocket pets are all welcome!

Calgary North offers a full range of services including primary care consultation, full dental care, digital radiology, in-house laboratory, endoscopy, ultrasound, full surgical services along with sophisticated anesthesia monitoring, internal medicine, intensive care monitoring, and emergency services.

Along with your pet’s medical needs we offer a wide range of retail products including prescription and wellness diets, health supplements, oral hygiene products, bathing supplies and more.

I dunno how anyone could give them a bad review.nThey are expensive but you pay for what you get! Start to finish they were incredible! Front desk and doctors everyone was so caring and helpful!nnThey help you with payment options and make everything as easy as possible with your pets care as their number one focus.nnThey explain everything very well and try to keep the cost at only what is really needed.nnI have no doubt Marshmellow received the best possible care and we took him to the right place.nnIf you are worried about your pets health and not being about to afford it doesn't matter take them in! They will help you. I cannot thank them enough. It's rare to find such great care and as someone that has a family member that runs their own veterinarian clinic in Manitoba I greatly appreciate great service.nnA medical emergency is always very scary! Please remember to treat the staff kindly regardless of the situation.

Wonderful group of individuals to cate for your fur babies.   We choose to have this location as our base home for veterinary care.   They care for needs year round and it is excellent to know they are available for emergencies if needed.  24 he care.

From the emergency phone call with the receptionist, to the moment we left the hospital, the service was exceptional. The staff were very quick to help our senior dog, and the Veterinarian who was available was amazing to talk with and provided us with a diagnosis we were not expecting. He was so empathetic to our situation and treated our sweet boy like his own. In a time of grief, the staff were also very empathetic and didn't rush us when we said goodbye. When it was time to pick up his ashes, the amount of care and love that went into it, I will forever be grateful for. The little 'extras' that went into our experience may have been minor for them, but they didn't go unnoticed by our family. Thank you for providing our sweet boy with comfort and love before his passing, our family is so thankful

The doctors and staff at VCA Calgary North did an amazing job at taking care of my sick kitten, Miso. Miso was admitted to their hospital after discovering he had a horrible disease, called FIP. He was in really bad conditions when we admitted him and didn’t know if he was going to make it. The doctors started his treatment ASAP and did their best to keep my Miso alive giving him the best care. Miso’s stay ended up being a week long, and despite this experience being so so stressful and painful, his doctors made sure to ease my stress by updating me daily with lots of details about how Miso was doing and always being available if I had any questions or concerns. I was told everyone at the hospital grew to love Miso and I’m sure this was reciprocated! Miso wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for them. Will continue to do weekly check-ins as his journey is unfortunately not over, but he is getting better and better day by day! Thank you everyone!! Highly recommend this place for your pets :

Thank you to all the amazing ladies who took care of my sweet boy ! From the front desk to the drs & techs .nnHe split his nail in half & although there was emergencies ahead of us & a long wait , they were super sweet,  brought coffee & even offered to charge my phone after it died . They took care of my boy from putting him under , and waking up him . All the ladies loved him & he got all the attention lolnnThank you everyone here for being so gentle and understanding that my pup was nervous & timid
