Vancouver International Airport

Only flown form here once. Only had one good experience, so take this review with your salt over your food. The airport was clean and beautifully designed yet clean and extremely functional. I love the modern elements mingled with elements of the first peoples. Food selection was fantastic and prices reasonable. It is also very easy to get to but the parking is a tad chaotic.

Rip off airport. Everything is very expensive. On their website, they say there is street pricing in the airport. This is a big fat lie. For example, a one litre bottle of Evian water costs almost $5. On the street, the same bottle costs closer to $2 in Metro Vancouver. It often costs less than $2 on sale. When you ask the employees why it costs so much, they say it is airport pricing.

I absolutely LOVE Vancouver International Airport! It is the best Airport that I have ever been to, and I have been to many! It is very open, modern and the arrivals area is very welcoming with stunning First Nations carvings and West Coast themes!

This airport is very clean. Everyone here was friendly and nice. There are a variety of different gift shops and quite a few places to get a bite to eat. There was even a small kids play area that I saw while I was waiting at my gate. The bathrooms are clean, which is always a bonus because some airports have filthy bathrooms. There was even a small spa for massages, manicures and pedicures. I enjoyed my stay in Vancouver and had was happy to see a clean and well organized airport.

First off, nothing feels more like home than landing at YVR. After long flights, YVR has a very laid-back and relaxed pace compared to other airports around the world. The architecture of the airport is absolutely gorgeous. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Immigration lines are fast and efficient.
