Had a really cool instructor named Connor. His sessions were interesting and practical. He was very polite and gave a lot of good feedback with practice rounds. He answered everyone's questions to the best of his ability and made the atmosphere of the classroom such that everyone could interact and make friends. Thanks Connor!
December 12th was the 4th time that I had to renew my certification for this course and it was by far the best, I'll be doing my first aid certification here from now on. Connor the instructor was an amazing coach, he had excellent command of the material, provided ample examples of relevant scenarios, and easily transferred all the material into the hands-on practical portion of the class, the session was engaging, instructive and very useful.
I took my CPR C recertification here. Kyle is a great instructor, straight to the point. Made sure all questions are answered and he was very informative/engaging. Best part is that he didn't make us do the dumb ice breakers courses make us go through at the beginning! Thank you Kyle!
I had a great experience re-learning first aid and CPR training after a COVID-19 hiatus break. I felt like I asked a lot of redundant questions but Connor answered each question respectfully. Being dyslexic and having a hard time getting simple things though my brain. There was no shame. I think I’m my 5 years of childcare profession. This is the first time I really enjoyed a first aid course. This man deserves a raise.
I have taken several first aid courses throughout my life and this was by far the most engaging. Excellent thoughtful lesson plan with a very well spoken and knowledgeable instructor Kyle.
Mark was a great teacher and provided information in an easy to understand and helpful manner. He was humorous, but still took the class seriously. Great demonstrator and you should give home a raise. I haven’t been paid to say this, but I did get a keychain.
I just Completed my first Aid Level 1 and my Instructor Connor was Amazing very Informative and Really enjoyed how he explained everything and always asked if everyone understood or had questions! Connor was also good with instruction's and proper ways for CPR And first Aid! Five Stars!!
As a middle-aged adult who dropped out of high-school, I was dreading to sit in a 7-8 hour class, however Connor was engaging and made the dry material interesting. He demonstrated and explained exceptionally well and at the end, I walked out of the class feeling confident and ready to save lives.
I was able to book a class one day in advance for the Vancouver location. I did the emergency first aid and car class and the instructor "Therrien" was wonderful. Sorry if I butchered the spelling. He was very knowledgeable and clearly has had a lot of training, also a good sense of humor. Thank you for making my experience enjoyable. Lance
**ADDED after owners response** I want to clarify that I never demanded my baby and father be allowed in the classroom, that is a lie. I would never expect such treatment, it wouldn’t be fair to the others in the course, the instructor and or especially my baby. I simply asked if there was an area in the building outside of the room where they could be accessible due to nursing requirements. Mel could have communicated that the building was not conducive for that, which is why I was upset- because my baby and 70 yr old father had to walk circles outside the building in the freezing cold rain for five hours, and that was not safe. Nor did I embody any such abusive behaviour to anyone- another lie. I’ll reiterate that Mel was the one who raised her voice, did not demonstrate any form of composure when dealing with a disappointed and confused customer, hung up on me and refused over and over again to let me speak to a manager. I am confident that the instructor Kyle would agree that I never demanded this. The only reason I registered in the wrong course was Mel sent me the link for A when I requested it be for C, I have this in writing too. The evening before the course I noticed it was for A not C and reached out immediately, they told me to request I be upgraded to C in the morning to the instructor, which I did. I was still sent away with a certificate in A. I could go on here but won’t. The owners response is not shocking and just further evidence of the “quality” of this company. I have nothing else to say here. I have wasted enough energy with this and you’re clearly not a company that can, or cares to, receive feedback, not to mention one who is okay letting such people represent you. My hopes and aspirations here for you all is that no other customer experiences this level of disorganization and unprofessionalism again- that is my reason for speaking up and that is all. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Do not expect professionalism or adequate support from the office staff. In particularly from Mel- I have never dealt with someone who lacks such customer service and basic human decency or care. Since my experience at the Vancouver Kingsway location this past Monday I have needed to speak to someone on the management team and Mel refused to connect me with them. She even went as far as hanging up on me, and then worse blocking me. I needed to talk to a manager because I was sent away with a certificate stating completion in the wrong level and now because of the way Mel was treating me, the customer…. Mels lack of professional communication and her distasteful response to customer feedback and frustration began during our very first interaction and I now wish I had listened to my gut which told me to obtain certification elsewhere. Mel clearly did not hear and or comprehend my unique situation and clarifying questions which were very valid before I was able or willing to commit to taking this course, and that became very evident upon our arrival to the building that morning. I will reiterate out of frustration that I have emailed and called this company every day this week only to be hung up on, blocked and treated with a real lack of customer service- her way of “dealing” with one of their customers is to over-talk and dismiss them. And this is one of the handful of reasons that I need to talk to someone higher up there, someone who might actually embody customer service and professionalism. The instructor Kyle, albeit had told me given my unique circumstances that he could get me out of there at lunch time otherwise we…would have never stayed given the conditions and environment was however fantastic, very knowledgeable, articulate and passionate. ** The location itself is a dive, a proper hole in the wall FYI **
