I went to the flea market looking for hockey cards and ended up buying the perfect engagement ring for my girlfriend, all thanks to Elisabeth at her booth for Value Vintage. I was walking by and stopped when i saw a display of rings. She asked what kind of ring i was looking for so i just described the ring that i thought my gf would like, though i wasn't really looking for anything at the time. She went into her shop and led me to the perfect ring. After a brief chat i learned Elisabeth is a gemologist and even designs her own jewelry. This was an old vintage ring that she had refitted with fresh stones in the design i happen to describe as the kind of ring i would buy. As far as pricing, she calls herself Value Vintage for a reason, and so i bought the ring to have on standby if i ever felt the time to propose. We got engaged the next day. If you're at the flea market, check out her booth #82, who knows how your life might change!
