Very high-priced items for used clothing. Most of which could purchase new for less. It's no longer valuable to go here.Yes, big store, lots of selections, but the price is no different than Ross, TJ Max, or Marshalls so why shop at this thrift store that sells the same price as those stores... highway robbery at its best.ifnA lot of dirty clothes are visibly damaged.nStaff are not helpful and can be very grumpy when asking for assistance. Security guard has been added to employees to deter thieves.
This place has really gone downhill over the last few years. I was there this week and almost every thing I looked at was beyond dirty - and it’s not like the prices reflect that.nnOne vase literally had a huge dusty centipede carcass in it - like they can’t even be bothered to look inside or tip it over, let alone wipe it down, but they still want fifteen bucks for it.nnFour staffers in sight trying to look busy, but everyone has to wait in a huge line to use one of two open self checkout kiosks. They can’t open more, because then the one staffer that’s actually working won’t be able to stand over every customer’s shoulder while they check out to make sure they aren’t stealing.nnI used to have so much fun shopping here, now it just feels every kind of gross.
They had a nice selection of clothes and I found some really cute pieces, but my experience wasn’t great. I asked the manager if I could get a small discount on a skirt that had visible stains, and she kept insisting it was just dirt. When I asked why no discount, she said it was because the item came in today, which didn’t really make sense. She was pretty abrupt and dismissive, so I just let it go to avoid any drama. Kind of left a bad vibe overall.
Items are outrageously expensive. Quite busy when I came at around noon. Good selection of books though!! Checkout is awful. They close all the lanes so-only two are at work which obviously makes a slow checkout and large queue, there is also an old lady who is always there and is very rude to her coworkers . She has red hair and glassesnIf you’re a size xs-s selection isn’t too great. Swimwear section is full of SHEIN, ZAFUL etc…. Honestly wouldn’t come back here most of the clothing is bad quality and from fast fashion stores. All “name brand” stuff such as Lululemon is all over twenty dollars no matter the condition $15+ for Abercrombie and similar brands. Pls do better value village. Other employees are nice
Everything seemed pricier in this store, than in Kingston. Finally found what I needed, but paid almost twice the price of what I would have normally gotten it for, at Kingston… tsk tsk.
