Long time thrifter fairly new to this location. I was looking for a dresser when I found this ikea dresser I’ve been looking for. Upon opening the drawers, I noticed it reeked of cigarette, but then I get three drawers down and somethings moving. Not one or two, THREE cockroaches moving around a few dead as-well. I would understand missing one if they even took the time to look thru it before placing it on the floor, however there was clearly a massive problem inside. The employee on the floor was shocked as-well because when she opened the drawer with another employee ONE FELL ON THE GROUND. Absolutely unexplainable when it is THAT BAD. Then when taken off the floor no other items were checked. I will not be returning to this location as clearly they do not check their items throughly or maybe at all.
Fantasic! I was on the hunt for LPs and couldn’t believe my luck, I found so rare cultural records that I had to get. Condition could obviously been better but I tried them at home and they work great, all things considered. I also got a book I was looking for, which was a great bonus. I can’t guarantee you’ll be as lucky as me on this day, but I will say that you never really know what you may find. I recommend regular visits and inventory does change. Great staff too, very friendly and helpful.
I usually like my experience. But today my friend was scanning her items and I went to the jewelry counter. The gentleman worker in self checkout was right behind her almost touching her looking over her shoulder at her screen. I get the need for loss prevention and making sure we aren’t stealing but perhaps a man shouldn’t be so close to a woman that his chest almost touched her back.nnEdit: No not good enough, I said one of your male employees was so close his chest was almost touching her back. Unacceptable response.
This store used to be great, but lately it feels like resellers with connections to the back get access to items before they ever reach the floor. I went in and tried to check the fresh carts/racks, but staff kept looking at me like I wasn’t supposed to be there.nnPlease consider leaving some fresh racks for later in the day or randomizing when items come out. It would make things fairer so regular customers can also find good items like before.
Paid 40$ for a pair of used boots I found at Walmart for 10$ cheaper! The prices have gotten ridiculous, it’s more expensive to shop used these days than it is to shop new. PATHETIC.nnAlso, the employee that was handling my order had noticed a previous shopper that had an item that was marked an incorrect price. The supervisor came over and stated that they would need to write this up. I then asked for clarification from the employee about whether or not she would be in trouble for such a mistake occurring. She then clarified to me that the employees are expected to catch all theft related occurrences and that if the cameras catch it and they don’t, that there is in fact, disciplinary action. The supervisor did not like that she shared this and stated that “you dont need to share all our secrets.” To expect a human to do just as effective of a job as an electronic device that was built solely for the purpose of catching theft…is unrealistic expectations and disgusting to expect of anyone..especially when paying them minimum wage while meanwhile charging more that FULL PRICE FOR USED ITEMS. Humans have bad days. Cameras don’t. Do better and charge less. Remember that the same people that keep you open by donations are often the ones shopping in your stores. I won’t be donating or shopping here any longer.
