I have always loved this specific Value Village branch and if you asked me from 1 year ago, I would’ve gave this branch a 5 star no doubt. There are a lot of fashionable clothing and also a lot of clothings that are my style which I can’t find anywhere else. But since about half a year back, the prices has been going up like crazy. I still come here every now and then but I don’t get as much stuff as I use to anymore because of the high prices. $50 for a coat even if its from a famous brand is unjustified for me especially in a thrift store.
Why do people dontate or shop here anymore? They're tricking and charging people above the prices they are new. Everything is junk now and they still try to get away with selling literal rubbish for insane prices... They should be ashamed for their practices. Please donate to other places.
From a donation standpoint, it does not make sense that you can not bring bins or shopping carts to unload donations from the car. Richmond VV has this along with friendly and helpful staff. This also exists at Goodwill. My interaction was with the security guard was not nice and he seemed panicky. I wish people would use their thinking skills and be more kind and helpful.
This company is out of control with their greed . The get free merchandise charge astronomical prices $16 for a plain t-shirt for example. Than have self check out robots they don't offer wrapping paper if you buy anything delicate you have to buy your own paper to take the merchandise they got for free. It's outrageous.
I’m a bit torn on Value Village. On the positive side, the store was clean, there was a good selection, and I did find a vest and a hat that I really liked. There were definitely lots of options to browse.nnThat said, I find Value Village quite overpriced for a thrift store. A lot of the prices felt surprisingly high, especially considering these are donated items. I personally think the prices take away from some of the fun of thrifting.nnI don’t remember seeing change rooms, although I could be mistaken, so I’d recommend wearing something fitted that you can easily try things on over if you’re unsure.nnMy biggest recommendation is to sign up for the rewards program and emails so you know when they’re having discounts or promotions. I’d probably wait for a sale rather than pay full price for a lot of the items.nnOverall, worth checking out if you’re looking for something specific, but I wouldn’t expect traditional thrift-store pricing.
