Value Village Langley is a spacious and well-organized thrift store with a wide selection of clothing, shoes, and household items. The variety makes it easy to find both everyday essentials and unique second-hand pieces. The store is generally clean, and items are arranged by category and size, which helps make browsing more convenient. Staff members are friendly and keep the store running smoothly, even during busy times. While some prices can be higher than expected for a thrift store, there are still good deals to be found. Overall, it’s a reliable spot for thrifting and bargain hunting.
The same trio that work in the cashier section on the weekends are the most unfriendly and unhelpful bunch.nnI stopped donating here because the quality of items that get put on the floor are not only overpriced, but also low to garbage quality. I have donated many excellent items that probably never made it to the floor but instead got picked first by the staff.
The price gouging here is hilarious. I haven't been here for quite some time but I was pretty annoyed to find they only have self check out now and expect you to hang up the clothes hangers after you've checked out your items. This obviously does not reflect on the employees but instead on the company. If you're able to, support another second hand shop because Value Village can't hold a candle to the company they used to be.nn3 stars because when I found a hole in a shirt that was priced at $10 dollars, a helpful staff employee brought the price down to $4.
The pricing is very badly done! I got quite a few items which also included a mystery jewellery bag supposedly with items from their showcase. The bag had two prices on it $4.99 and $49 but the cashier assured me and assured me that the $4.99 tag was a mistake and it was all wearable jewellery worth $49. When I opened it at home, it was all broken, mistmatched, not even 2-3 nice items... I realize it's a mystery bag for a reason, but all other ones I've opened at least had a few good items to pick out, especially from such a big lot. Definitely should have been priced as a craft bag at $4.99! This is not the first time pricing is poorly done there... with a quick google check you can find out that the items being resold are bad quality temu or shein, but the prices are like a regular clothing store. These items have also been donated! Very dissapointing!
Most of the staff atnValue Village you’re amazing. I can tell they’re overworked and they have not enough staff management needs to step up that they’re making tons of money on donations I just dropped off my donations there and could tell that those people were totally understaffed way too many donations for them to handle time for the greedy people at the top to take a look.
