Since 1990 specialized in outdoor clothing and gear. New Denver is where it all started, named after Valhalla Provincial Park; the great outdoors!

Story

Open 10-6 everyday from the beginning of May until end October.

Valhalla Pure Outfitters was born on Canada Day 1990 in New Denver, across the lake from BC's Valhalla Park. That makes it our original store!

We carry brands like Icebreaker, Arc'Teryx, Chlorophylle, RAB and MSR. Since 2015 we are also specialised in SUP boards and kayaks. Being right on the lake, we have the perfect location for watersports. Come in and find the newest outdoor clothing and gear at your local store!

Backpacking in the Valhalla or Kokanee Parks. Sailing and exploring Slocan Lake by kayak or paddle board. Hiking and biking the endless trails based out of the valley. World class DH & XC mountain biking. Exploring and scrambling in the alpine- great access.

Staff here have been incredibly helpful and friendly when I've visited. The range of goods is really good, very well suited to kootenay outdoor adventures. Some of the brand's are a bit expensive but that's just their target market. The other good thing is the rewards points you can get, worth remembering to sign up for when you can spend so much on any given item. Overall my experience here has been great. Good staff, well laid out and appropriate selection. Just what you need when your virtually in the middle of nowhere!

The original Valhalla Pure! Staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the region. Great selection in the upper store and great rentals in the lower store.

I come up to new Denver to camp every year.. Everytime I stop in to the store, I feel welcomed by the staff. Yeah, the brands they carry are pricey but I always seem to luck out on a sale? Cute clothes that have people asking "where did you get that?" or "that's cute!" I love being able to say New Denver baby... Wished they sold new Denver t-shirts! Nevertheless check it out! Must stop!
