First time visit and was overwhelmed with the selections of bread sold in the store. All looked good. Finally ordered the hot chicken empanada pie and bought special ube ensaymada bread. Both were delicious tasting. Definitely recommend this bakery.
Great location and lots of parking. Variety of Filipino baked goods I just find all their bread are overly sweet, would be great if sugar content and serving are reduced for health reasons to consumers. Overall, still a good bake shop.
First time in this store,I bought Spanish bread, malunggay pandesal but the Plain Ensaymada is favorite of my familia
I like visiting this place because of their delicious products and I don't mind driving all the way here to this location from toronto. The Habahaba bread is really good and delicious, so I brought some more. We also tried the hopia with real ube inside. The taste is really good as well. But the only one thing that I am so disappointed with is the siopao, this is the 1st time I have been trying this product from them. The siopao bread or dough is dry and tastes like old. The filling is so salty and sour, too. But the expiration date is still far.
This Tamal was nice. The rice looks like it was blended into a paste so that was different. Little pieces of chicken
Just saw this place at heartland and decided to check it out. The place smells heavenly when you enter. They have all the traditional Filipino baked goods. We tried a cheese roll which was basically cream cheese and sugar on a roll and it was tasty. There were a lot of varieties of pandesal and bullits. We picked up the cheese pandesal and a cream dulce roll, both of which are delicious! They had little milk candy samples which i don't remember the name of and they were sooo good!! Many items were sold out by the time we got there, so I'm curious to see what else is there and try some new items next time.
The name threw me off as I usually associate “tropical” with the Caribbean but this happens to be a Filipino bakery, which was a nice surprise. There are lots of choices but without knowing what is in each item, it’s hard to make a choice as a non-Filipino. There were many choices which looked delicious at the cashier counter, however they were not labeled so it was difficult to make an impulse buy. Will definitely return and try as many items as I can.
We bought suman cassava my favorite yesterday. This morning I want to taste it but when I opened, it looks like it was not cooked. No taste. See picture. Someone from the bakery did not pay attention. I wanted to return it just to let them aware but not worth to the travel coz I live far. Tried calling them but no answer just to know how to cook it.
Everything they sell is just so delicious. I kinda felt like I was back to the Philippines since they have my all time favorites, I even bought some and bring it to bc
Interesting Filipino bakery, they had many baked goods from sweet to savoury. I really liked the desserts with ube. Staff were very friendly and helpful in providing suggestions. Definitely will return to try more things.
