As soon as you enter, you're welcomed with the smell of fried donuts. Tried four donuts - old fashioned glazed, banana cream pie, toasted coconut, and apple fritter. The dough is very dense, much like eating bread. If you prefer fluffy soft donuts, I would not recommend donuts from here. Otherwise, the donuts here are like eating sweet bread. Apple fritter was the best out of the four because it had that cinnamon apple spread woven into the layers of the dough, which gave it more moisture and seem less dense compared to others. Banana cream pie had so little filling that didn't even pierce through to the middle of the dough. The filling tasted like a commercial banana cream pie filling you could buy in a store. Coconuts on top of toasted coconut were nice. Old fashioned glazed had a mild flavour of the 'old fashioned' spice mix. Overall, very mediocre in flavour; they were not robust or well defined.
Amazing vegan spot along with super yummy donuts! The food was so good that I forgot to take photos for the review before getting into it. Every single item we got totally hit the spot. The donuts were also to die for! We'll definitely return for more.Food: 5/5
Just wow!!! I ordered online with a group of non-vegan friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! We all had the gluten free options, ranging from poutine, hunny cauliflower bowl, Cesar salad, and Reuben sandwiches. The portion sizes were perfect too. I'm sad to be leaving London and not have the opportunity to try more of their food!
Response to Dana: Thanks for your reply, although we found it a little "entitled". To suggest that other vegan restaurants don't pay their staff well, or that staff at other vegan restaurants are not friendly is absurd and offensive. Further, our entire point was that the "quality" of your ingredients were by far sub-par to those of other vegan restaurants and your price is higher. I will email you pictures of plant based chicken and plant based bacon used at other restaurants, which you can compare to the boxed or shaker bacon bits you used and there is no comparison. Same with the plant based chicken. If you'd like to entirely disregard my observations and comparison to other restaurants and suggestions to improve quality and value then go ahead. Unfortunate though because I feel your restaurant has potential and I'd like to see it last. Original Review: Let me just start out by saying that I do love this place and I love having any Vegan/Plant based restaurant here in London as an option. Service-awesome! Very friendly very helpful staff. Great job! We ordered the Crunchwhich Delux and a chicken Cesar wrap. Chrunchwhich plant based chicken sandwich was very good! Crunchy coating, great slaw and sauce. Awesome! The wrap was very disappointing. The plant based chicken was cut in cubes, and resembled tofu more than plant based chicken. The croutons and bacon bits tasted like they came from a box. Very fake and ruined the wrap. There was next to no sauce so it was very dry, and the wrap itself was just a raw wrap, not toasted not heated so was very doughy. Not good. Not a big deal if it's a 6.99 wrap but the wrap was $12 and was nowhere near $12 value. Same with the chicken sandwich, which was also $12, and was closer to a $8.99 value. I can go to Odd Burger and get a much better wrap with actual plant based bacon strips and chicken for $6.99. Same with the chicken sandwich at Odd Burger. My suggestion for added value would be to add fries for the $12 price which would cost you nothing but add perception of value. Once the novelty of this place wears off people will realize that ultimately they can get better value and better quality for their $12. I'll be back to try other things, hopefully the experience will be a little better.
Stopped in after an appointment in London because I’ve been dying to try this place. Everything was awesome! I especially enjoyed the cauliflower wings! Will definitely be back. Any thoughts of opening in St Thomas? lol
Vspot is one of my all time favorite vegan spots. I’m from out of town but I always make it a point to make a detour into London to stop in. The donuts are literally to DIE FOR!! Absolutely amazing. This time I tried the spinach dip grilled cheese and holy it was out of this world delicious. Can’t wait to stop by soon!
We were passing through London we are from Toronto so we made sure to stop at Vfoodspot! The donuts were great, and the eggnog donut was especially amazing! The cauliflower wings were pretty good but the chicken in the wrap was outstanding! I got the special which was chicken Alfredo in a wrap. The chicken was incredible and the Alfredo was also great! I wasn't a fan of the pasley in the wrap but I just picked that out. Their fries are also A++++ so if I was in London again I would for sure get something with fries! Poutine or something! Oh and there is a huge parking lot behind! Loved the experience and I'll defo be stopping by again.
BEST donuts you will ever eat! Picking up a 6-pack from V Food Spot has quickly become a celebatory tradition for our family. We LOVE trying their specialty flavours but admit we all have our go-to favourites like the Dunkaroonut & Toasted Coconut!
AMAZING vegan food! Everything tastes real real chicken, real beef, real cheese & it’s phenomenal. Staff was super friendly, wait times weren’t too long. We’ll definitely be back!
The best vegan comfort food in London! Their menu is full of great options and they've recently been able to offer gluten free dishes as well. You must try their donuts if you have the opportunity to do so, they're iconic!
