Utica Bread is the next in a long line of historic Utica Bakeries. Step inside 106 Genesee Street to experience the magic of hand crafted, European Style bread and pastry. From the friendly folks who brought you The Tailor and the Cook, comes Utica Bread, located in the heart of Downtown Utica's historic Bagg’s Square. Open Wednesday-Sunday, Utica Bread offers the same great service you have come to expect from the Tailor and the Cook. Light breakfast and lunch fare are available Retail items are available from local producers, as well as an interesting selection of New York State grocery and Farmstead cheeses. We look forward to seeing you very soon!

You should patronize this baker. He's an honest bread maker. It must take a hour to make a loaf of Utica Sour. His bread's the best, no doubt. Come early or find him sold out. Why take a breadless chance? Call the number, reserve in advance.

The best bread you'll find in Utica, no question about it. If you come to late, you're late. Selling out is commonplace. Be forewarned. Enjoy it, you'll love it.

Spinach feta croissant is to die for. So was the egg nog roll cake I tried the day after Thanksgiving, although I guess it was seasonal. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because some things are on the pricey side - what I'm used to in New York City. It sure doesn't stop me from coming back though!

Small but mighty, the service is great, the bread is beautiful, and the sandwiches are delicious! I ordered the smashed chickpea with sun-dried tomatoes, kalamata olives, and cilantro pesto, thinking, "another hummus sandwich" but no! I added NY white cheddar for that something extra. This savory concoction packed a powerful punch! I have had their bread before from Tom's health food store in Clinton, but a trip to the bakery is well worth it. A plethora of choices and super fresh bread!
