Urgent Care and Occupational Health: MidMichigan Urgent Care - Gladwin

I went to this Urgent Care about a year ago for a rash that I had developed after taking Ibuprofen for several days while waiting to have a root canal. I did not exceed the dosage on the bottle, had just been taking it for pain relief for the cracked tooth that I was having the root canal done on. All I went there for was relief from the rash. The doctor I saw was rude! When I told him that I had been taking the Ibuprofen for several days and why he rudely said, "well you have to be smart about it and not overdose." I informed him that I never exceeded or even reached the maximum daily dose at any time. Then he looked in my mouth at my teeth and said, "well that's why you have a tooth ache, you have a HUGE cavity in this tooth." The tooth he was referring to, had a large filling in it....NOT A CAVITY. Since I had just been to the dentist, I informed him that I was sure if I had a HUGE cavity, my dentist would have scheduled an appointment for it to be filled and that the tooth he was referring to wasn't the one that was in need of the root canal and was not the one causing my pain. I then told him that I can't take oral steroids due to inflamatory bowel desease. It causes my intestines to bleed and that I would prefer a topical cream. He then prescribed an antibiotic for my tooth, which I had told him I already had from the dentist, and an oral steroid, which I just told him I cannot take. I left and went to Midland Urgent Care where they have intelligent doctors! I will never go back to Gladwin unless I know that doctor will not be the one to see me, and since they won't tell you when you check in which doctor is working, I guess I'll never go back. The man in my opinion should not be diagnosing anyone if he can't tell the difference between a filling and a cavity! The other doctors may be great, but I will probably never know!

Everytime I've went to urgent care they really treated me nicely. I really like Wes.

I took my two year d daughter here when her family doctor was closed for the day. And the doctors and nurses here are awesome. Their are nice. My daughter was treated very nicely. I would take my daughter here again if i she needs to be.

My four year old son almost DIED after going here, having been improperly diagnosed, improperly treated, and sent home. I would not recommend this place to anyone, ever.
